Greatest band ever IMO. Better than the Beatles and anything u can throw at me. Kurt may have gone out in the wrong way, but he was a genius. Their music is so influential. Its the pissed of kids of america anthem. They are great.

wow....thats a pretty big call there saying their bigger than the Beatles....I dont agree with it though, I mean The Beatles set the bar, raised the bar, continued to raise the bar untill the end. Not the Nirvana didnt or anything, but you cant really compare the two

The Beatles actually wrote about songs outside of suicidal heroin addic

Grunge appeals to the spoiled-suburban-American-teenager who thinks their life is so horrible because they get rejected by peers and their parents make them do chors

Don't get me wrong, Nirvana was an o.k band......but doesn't even crack the top 10.

I don't fit that profile, but I love Nirvana becaus of their energy, and their sound...I don't even really hear song lyrics! I love heart-shaped box.

And as a fan of both bands, I have to choose the beatles.

just because they said that nirvana is better than the beatles doesn't make them ignorant. they have a right to their opinion, and name-calling because you don't agree makes you ignorant. personally, just because of my taste in music, i would choose to listen to nirvana over the beatles. not to say i don't like the beatles, which i do, i just prefer a different sound. it is really not fair to say that all cobain wrote about was suicidal drug addicton, as he wrote about bigger things than that. also, i like grunge and i don't fit your description either.

anyways.. i own nevermind, in utero, bleach and from the muddy banks of wishkah. my personal favourite of those is in utero.
