Season 2 NOT a dream!

Ok...this is out there, but I conjured this up on the bus late tonight. Remember at the beginning of the ep when Syd says something about it being the longest debrief ever...or something to that effect? Did it not seem to you that the sex scene, while very fun, was entirely misplaced and an odd choice for opening a season finale? Is it possible that the debrief she references at the beginning of the ep is the debrief Syd undergoes after this 'absence,' perhaps...after this meeting with Vaughn at the end of the episode? Hmmm...let me analyze the tape again. I have not watched it again yet. But what a hell of a finale! Honestly. :D

really really interesting idea. i'm not sure if there's a flaw in it. but JJ hasn't been much for tricks in the past. so my first reaction to that would be to say no way. but i'll have to rewatch the ep a few times before i cast my vote either way.
very original thinking though.

hey! that sounds pretty good too...yeah i thot that too that the sex scene was kinda like...ok well its all very nice and everything but where does that fit in exactly... anyways, just cuz J.J. hasnt used tricks before...now would be a good time to start! i love tricks! esp if they mean that vaughn is NOT married to someone other than syd and also having a 2-year-time gap would totally suck and its a little too twilight zone for me...

Very interesting idea, and I would so love if it were true because then Syd and Vaughn would be together, but two things have me wondering if that theory is possible. First, Vaughn asks Sydney where Will and Francie are, so that would mean they would both have to still be alive...possible. But, secondly, the camera pans down to the tie Evil Francie gave Vaughn and then shows her listening in on Syd and Vaughn...doesn't that indicate present day? I'm so confused :banghead:

you are right, that would kill that theory b/c she was listening in and they were talking about relavent thigns in present day. I ahve to say I disagree with this theory completely.

Hi, I have a few questions: first of all, when Syd asks Vaughn if Will is alive, he says, 'yes, thanks to you'. Did anyone think that was interesting? To me it meant that she had been doing some good in the past 2 years.
Also, there is something very significant about the tie that Francie gave Vaughn. They have still not played that up.
One more - whenever I see a scene in Hong Kong, I always think of the Asian guy with glasses who has terrorized both her, Will, and Marshall at different times -is he still alive, and what is his deal?????

While the writers are fond of starting off episodes in the future and resolving the previous episode's cliffhanger through a flashback, I dont think that is the case here. For example, "The Enemy Walks In" opens with Syd talking to Barnett (the CIA therapist) about how she escaped after being shot by her mother. In this case and in others like it, it was abundadntly clear that flashbacks were taking place. No such flashbacks occured in "Second Double" or "The Telling."

With regard to the "thanks to you" what I think happened was -- AFTER the fight, both Syd and Will are taken to the same hospital. SINCE he was stabbed in the gut, perhaps he needed a transplant and she was used as the donor, or, the Rambaldi device can also/only be used to heal people, like the ultimate healer. This would make sense simply because she could fufill the prophecy...however, there is a major flaw, that if it is a healing device then the 2 year gap is awkward. There have been rumors floating around that because she can fufill the prophecy either A) Sloane sends her forward in time so that she CANT stop it, or B) Irena sends her ahead to protect her from sloane...either way this is getting me all up in knots :(

I thought at first that this was a really good idea, and how I pray it would be true because then Vaughn and Syd would still be together, but then it can't because Frallison is dead, and it showed her listening to the recording in Vaughn's tie, as rspad said.

How I wish it were true though!

hmmm...to me..i dont htink so...cuz the part where htey were doin it...it had the tie..and francie was listneing..but francie is dead....or amybe i juss dont get what ur saying

a transplant! I never thought of that...hrm. The easiest thing to be transplanted that could fit is probably a kidney...but then will needs both of his kidnies to fail. ugh...there isn't anything there where syd's scar is.

what about an implant...maybe she got operated and she has some rambaldi device in her!
