i get the picture, i was in the vaughn is not married club for a while and everybody is like: it has been 2 years and francinerater is dead and vaughn isn't married and then i don't know where is was on this site, but somebody said that syd was in a coma and some other ppl said that she had amneshia (sp?) or got brainwashed. and the whole time i'm like: come on ppl jj wouldn't do that, i would distroy the show and practically none of them listen.

I don't think Irina is Sark's mom - it would just be too weird - it would be almost star wars-esque (Luke and Leia, except Luke and Leia aren't enemies, but whatver- they are brother-sister and don't know it), though perhaps Irina is Sark's mom and Sloane is Sydney's biological dad (also stars wars-esque in terms of Luke and Vader) and they're some kind of extremely strange messed up family - but I hope that isn't true or it will ruin everything

I figure that there are three possible explanations for the two years thing ( though there could be infinite little variations on them) :
- after Sydney went unconscious someone like Sloane or Sark got to her and did something (wow - could that be any more vague?)
- the Rambaldi device did some time switch or memory alteration thing
- Syd was so emotionally and physically distressed that her body just shut down. Apparently, there is an actual medical condition called a fugue state where a person under too much pressure or stress will just forget who they are and invent another life for themselves. This can last for years until all of a sudden the memory of their old life comes back to them as if it were yesterday. So . . yeah, fugue state.

First, Sydney shot F/Allison in the arm and both shoulders, not the heart, so she could be alive, especially if she had called for help after stabbing Will, which is likely.
