Goodness. I hope you Sean Connery folks aren't the same ones who are saying that Victor Garber is "too old." Connery is practically old enough to be Mr Garber's father--he'll be 73 this August. I'd consider him out of my personal range and seeing him paired with Catherine Zeta-Jones (34 in Sept) was a bit much for me to stomach. That's not to say that he doesn't have sex appeal, but I'd much rather see him paired with, say, Glenn Close (56) or Ellen Burstyn (61). (Ages supplied by www.imdb.com.)

Yeah, that was a bit odd. But she's with Michael Douglas, right? He's only about 20 years older. ^_^
Well, that's up to her, not a casting director. I'm not going to stand in judgement of her private life.

depends. my sis LOVES harrison ford and he's um... older
Ack, how do I say this right (I've edited this twice now!)? There's a difference between finding Harrison Ford attractive and actually dating Harrison Ford. When I very young (let's say 12 - 14) I could easily find actors in their 30s and 40s (old enough to be my parents or older) attractive, but I would not be dating or marrying them at that time (!). You find some women who marry much, much older men for any number of reasons--I don't care to judge them, whether it be for love, admiration, or another some less noble reason.
;)

I think that they can be very sexy. I love Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Robert Redford, Al Pacino and Sean Connery. I think they bring a certain something to the screen that you don't find nowadays, a sort of an olden days class.

Oh, man. That's how I think of Ronald Colman (who actually is before my time). Now I really feel old . . .
^_^

Oh you can't be that old!!!!! Ronald Colman is definately in that category!
Like I said, he's before my time. I watch a lot of old movies. I've stated that my actual age falls between Michael Vartan's and Victor Garber's.

I have no idea why i'm such a fan!
Hm. Both Gregory Peck and Sean Connery have excellent speaking voices (and rather deep ones). (And of course Mr Connery has the accent.) Do you suppose that has anything to do with it?

I definitely wouldn't count that out! I love listening to them speak....especially sean connery. I loved him in Indiana Jones.

I do like men with deep voices but I think that Anthony Hopkins has one of the most soothing voices of any of the actors, you could just listen to it all day!

I liked Viggo Mortensen in 28 days and Harrison Ford in Air Force One, I think that's the movie. And Mark Hamill looks good in Star Wars, and Andrew DanJumbo from While You Were Out, though I really don't know how old he is.
