okay i am hoping that nicole takes best actress because she should have had it last year and she was just amazing! plus renee just needs to disappear forever(in my opinion!!) its march 23, and i cant wait, i always watch these and the tony awards! and i think either hours or chicago will take best picture! what are your thoughts?

I'm kinda hoping Julianne Moore wins. I think she's incredible. I'd like to see Chicago do well, too. I think that Rob Marshall did a fantastic job.

I was SO mad the Peter Jackson wasn't nominated for Best Director and Andy Serkis wasn't nominated for Best Supporting Actor!! :madfire: I wish other people from Lord of the Rings were nominated also!!!

After looking at the nominations i think that Chicago will collect quite a few, and i hope that Renee does get an award aswell.

I would have liked to see that, but the Academy is so conservative I would have probably fainted if that had happened.

I would really like to see Julianne Moore win either Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress. The two movie for which she was nominated for were amazing, I was really blown away by her performance in both.
But yes I was disapointed that Andy Serkis was not nominated, I had heard a lot of rumor of his nomination, sadly he didn't get one. Though it would have been nice to get the recognition for his role as Gollum/Smeagol.
