i didn't like this episode. the tone changed darastically. it was obviously aimed just to seek new viewers. the plot has changed. everyone was out of character. why did vaughn all of a sudden come out like that? and francie and will??? just kissing....its too much for me to accept. i'm in denile has alias taken a turn for the worst?
 
agenttom47 - that is my worst worry - that Alias will no longer be as good as it once was. I can only hope it will be. We need more Irina!

Alias should be able to keep up being as good as it is now, because now there's a whole higher level of bad guys that we didn't know about. And with whatever is going on with Francie is going to be amazing

definitely shocking, but....i don't know, i'm feeling a bit of ambivalence. this whole episode just felt totally unreal. too many things happening at once. will and francie kiss? dixon knows? sd-6, the whole damn alliance is down? sydney and vaughn kiss? sloane and sark know about sydney and jack?? francie is dead?! there's a "new" francie?? ohmygod! too many things happening at once!!

main questions:

1. who the hell are they going to fight now that the alliance is down?
2. who the hell are sloane and sark working for?!?

I can see where you're coming from, but still, it was incredible, wasn't it?

The only thing I found hard to believe is the kiss. It was too running through the wild flowers kind of a thing.

BUT I STILL LOVED THIS EP! It was definitely one of the best ever! But poor Francie!

okay random thought: if sark has been working with sloane and they have known about sydney then sloane knew sydney would be there in that geisha outfit and sloane must have been working with irina and still is then that also means that sark and sloane know alot more than what we give credit to them!! and sark knew about her double status back in season 1 and so did irina!! okay my mind is going crazy with theories and questions!!!!!!!!OMG, yes the tone and show changed, but i like it still, yeah Vaughn was alittle bit out of character but we got a kiss from it!!!
 
I am in absolute and complete shock right now, as I'm sure most of us are. I accidentally read some spoilers, and I knew SD-6 would be brought down, but I had no idea Sloane was planning this whole thing. How did he know that Syd and Jack were doubles?!?!

I loved the kiss, but it is sort of sad in a way, because that tension was so wonderful, and that's over now. It's the flip side of the coin, I guess.

I'm very upset about Francie. She was one of the most unambiguously *good* characters on the show, and she didn't deserve that. I was really looking forward to the day when she would find out about Sydney, and that will never happen now. I guess it's good that Merrin Dungey will now have a bigger role, but I wonder how she feels about all this? Poor Francie.. :(

The Sydney/Dixon scene where she told him the truth was AMAZING. I know Jennifer Garner is an outstanding, wonderful actress, but she outdid herself this time. I don't think I've ever seen such great acting on tv. She should win some kind of honorary Oscar or something.

I missed Irina. I have a feeling that the only reason they didn't include her was that it would be too complicated to explain to new viewers, and that bothers me. But I trust we'll see her next week.

Overall, I'm finding it hard to think clearly about this one right now. My head is pounding, and I'm still excited from it. But I agree that it did feel different in tone. I've seen every single episode, and in a way, I felt like a new viewer, which I wasn't expecting. I think that whatever they decide to do from here on out will be great television, but I'll probably be a little homesick for the old set-up of Alias for awhile. :confused: But having said that, this was probably still one of the most amazing hours of television I've ever seen in my life!!
 
See, now the episode that I'm waiting for now is when we get to see Sydney's reaction when she finds out about Franice. It might not be for awhile, but that definitely will be an episode not to miss.
 
I am still in a state of shock!!! I can't believe Sloane! What a craphead. Why did they have to kill Francie?(And then show it... that was kind of gross :S)

Francie didn't die. I know it. That is just a feak to think that she died. she is a spy! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG! S/V FINALLY KISSED! MY DREAM CAME TRUE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

The Alliance and it's cells are gone!

Oh man, I totally agree. I think I'm still trying to process all of it.
Dixon responded just the way I thought he would. I knew he was going to hate Sydney for telling him the truth.
I'm gonna have dreams about that kiss... As soon as they invaded SD-6, I kinda figured they would kiss among the ruins. But it was still cute! The Will-Francie kiss was cute too! At first, I was like "okay... weird..." But then, I guess i got used to it. Speaking of Will... so he didn't grab Francie and leave town ASAP. So where is he? I was never overly fond of Will... but I want to make sure that he's safe and still GOOD.
Well, since Sark and Sloane are conspiring together, I kind of figured that Sark told Sloane about the Bristows in the beginning. I wonder if Irena has anything to do with those two working together...
Can't wait for the next episodes!!

at first when I saw evil Francie on the phone, I thought she had just picked up Syd's cell or something. Then when she said yes, I thought she had been working for Sark all along (I know, I know, impossible, but I was still in total and complete shock from the whole S/V kiss). Then they showed the blood *ugh* and everything made sense (sorta)
