I read they want to simplify the plot to bring in new viewers, I hope it doesn't get too slow, I loved the fast pace and in depth stories, television with imagination, I love this show.

YES! one of my thoughts exactly. the show pre-"the new beginning" had a lot of depth to it. and i do hope that in an attempt to lure in viewers the quality of the show wont go down. i hope it doesn't go too sleazy on us because jennifer garner was so already sexy before. :redhair: <--- haha i just saw that icon. anyway, the abc promos dont do any justice to alias either. so maybe i shouldn't be concerned. but someone needs to fire the ppl who think up of the ads for alias. when marshall was kidnapped they thought of operation friend-in-need...how blunt is that?!

I read they did that to lure all the half drunk men watching the superbowl in--that's why they started with that scene and then went back 24 hours.

Well im off to bed have fun ya'll and did i mention that the KISS WAS AWSOME WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOO :woot:

i know!!! i hate those stupid operation names.... and they aren't even the real names of the episodes. aka "a lover's mission" how stupid was that? i really think to lure people in they should have better trailers...that's what has me thinking about watching that "veritas" show...yuck.

but seriously, that ep was the best yet.

I liked how they had new CIA recruits, it gave them a chance to give a brief rundown for all the new folks.

Oh, my, goodness! I've just watched an hour of great television and seen one Alias change into another Alias. Let me start from the beginning. Sydney looked great in both of her outfits on the plane. Of course I'd think that, you must be saying.

This episode has changed everything. Now I do believe that they're all gonna have to go down a brand new road and go after Sloane, Sark and what I think was another Francie. I think the other Francie was a decoy.

Alright, when I was watching this eppy, I had the slightest thought cross my mind, "What if Sloane is setting these raids of the Cells up?" It turned out that quick thought I had, prooved to be true.

Sydney and Vaughn had quite the romantic kiss.

I felt so sorry for Dixon and Marshall, I even started tearing up with tears in my eyes. I teared up also when Sydney was crying. I don't think I've ever been so emotional during a tv show.

Now, we all must go down this new road and see what happens. I cannot wait for the new episodes.

I am still in total shock.

haha! that's really clever!

but i mean...before i noticed that jennifer garner put in some of her feminine charm into fighting the bad guys. or maybe i'm just a little too obsessed with the show :D

I know this has been said but this episode really took me by surprise. Before the airing I didn't know anything about this episode and have been busy and havn't been able to watch the last couple. It has happened alot when you think that a really earth shattering things going to happen like Vaughn and Sidney in that restaurant or Sloans been killed, but then something happens to cancel out all of that out.

But I don't think that has happened. All the way through to the point where Sidney and Vaughn were standing there in the middle of the distroyed and empty SD-6, I still thought it was all a ploy, I was waiting for something to happen, like too many agents were lost and they would decide to abort the take over and then everything would go back to the way it was before but that didn't happen. The Aliance is really distroyed. The earth shattering event actually happened and was carried out till the end, with the distruction of the alliance and SD-6. I left this episode in total shock, and it recindled my spirit and love for this show (I even finally became a member of this site).

They may have changed the plot, but that is what this show is all about. I believe that this show has been brought to a whole new level, and I have faith that the writing staff has created a plot that will continue to amaze and surprise us.

Wow! What an episode? I don't know what to expect now...I am not surprised that Sark and Sloane had something up their sleeve like this...but where will we go next?

My thoughts...Will (if he is even the real Will) is bad--I mean, where was he? And he didn't seem all that concerned when Sydney called? Did he kill Francie? Is he working with Sark and Sloane? Are they working with Irina? OHMYGOSH! this is gonna be a good ride...

I HAVENT BEEN HERE IN FOREEVERRRR
IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
THE BEST ONE YET, if i may say
they kissed! no more sd-6! so less complications, but i will miss it a little bit
now maybe it'll be less gory....
but the double thing was kinda cool
THEY KISSEDDDDDDDDDDD
but francie's dead... i wonder what sloanes up to

if will (or the will clone--who knows?) is working with sloane and sark--he knows everything about Sydney, her father...that may be how Sloane knew they were double agents

OMG OMG OMG That was the best ep ever I was literally hyperventalating after the show. I cant believe everything they put into that episode.
Wow I have to give my brain time to figure out all that happened.

i know!! i was sitting there, like "this can't be happening..." and my mom was like, "i bet you it's all a dream..." omg! i was so scared. i was like this for the rest of the ep -- praying that sydney wouldn't suddenly wake up in her bed.

that is until vaughn and sydney kissed and then i was like :woot: oh my, i can't believe all that happened...sd-6 is really gone...it's like jj decided to use someone's fanfic off a random website...all our dreams are coming true! (except maybe for that francie being dead thing. )

and when did everyone decide that will was a 'clone' too?

man, i wish i was as smart as jj abrams, he's a fricken genius. i don't think i can wait til next sunday. someone better get some spoilers really soon! :D

Just blown away by Phase 1 and wanted to join a mb and say how much I love this show. It's writing, production values, acting, unique characters, music scoring, etc, etc, etc,...are better than anything on t.v. and better than most movies.

JG's acting was superb in this episode - particularly the scene where she finds out about her Dad being compromised. The music score is fantastic and adds a lot to the already second to none production values - such as the dripping water type sound while they were waiting for the email, and the many song selections. The song in the last scene of the getaway episode was absolutely perfect!

This episode really hit on a wide range of strong emotions for many scenes. What a great movie...er...tv series.

My only concern about this restart is that futures shows are as cleverly and SMARTLY written ...a recent e.g. being Jacks description of how he chose how to respond to his boss by analyzing his psch profile and reaction to past answers. I love that the characters in this show are so smart (and mysterious) in so many ways - please keep it that way. Also, if you Alias folks read this mb, please keep and use Marshall more often - he is a unique and hillarious character. My wife and I loved his scenes in The Abduction. I REALLY like Irina as well (and especially her interaction w/ Jack and Sydney)!

Finally, one last thing about this episode....slones grin at the end...just perfect. I could could go on praising so many things about this show but I must go to sleep.

Long live this great show!
