I want Irina's story to continue as long as the show does. Even if some of the tension goes away, I still want Lena Olin to be a part of the show. Now that Syd has a complete (albeit dysfunctional) set of parents, I would like to see that play out more.

Well, I don't know that I thought that SD-6 would "be around forever." I thought that Rambaldi and Irina were the more important long-term themes. This is why I would be disappointed to see the Irina story wrapped up quickly. It has unfolded too slowly to wrap up in a couple of episodes. We need angst!

i have always thought that Rambaldi would be a long term element and as we are seeing, i think that is even more evident! but i agree with what you are saying on irina, i hope her storyline just doesnt wrap up in one episode in the snap of a finger! we need the angst, yes plus i dont think they have really played out all the angles that irina brings to the show, her being ex-wife and at times still wife(legally that is) and mother, enemy of the state(will she be punished again? will sydney try to save her? hmmm....)and of course my mom killed your dad arguement!
