I'm being bombarded by news that 50 people died in a gay bar in Florida by a Muslim that was being watched as a terrorist by the FBI. I'm being told that it is domestic terrorism because he was a US citizen. I'm told it was a hate crime because it was a gay bar.
I'm sorry for the pain the surviving family has to deal with. I'm not minimizing the loss of life. I'm just wondering why there is so much fuss over this when it is to be expected. Nobody cares about the state of the nation or the world until something like this smacks them in the face. Then, nobody will care until it happens again, and again, and again.
Seeing what people have become in this day & age I fully expect this kind of thing to happen. I expect the numbers of deaths per incident to increase as well. I wonder at what point everyone might wake up? 200 deaths per incident per month? 500? What about 1000?
This trending is not a distant problem. Its in your face if you even care to look.
Oh look, a new cell phone...gimmie, gimmie, gimmie.
Oh look I can post a comment about this...Aint I great? ...me, me, me
I got a better deal on a marble than you.... mine, mine, mine
Then 'whoop' your neighbor blows up a packed grocery store or some kid down the street kills a bunch of his classmates. That guy that has been casing the place goes unnoticed, another guy walks into a bar carrying a semi-automatic, the woman behind you in line is sick and coughing her disease all over you.
BUT...I see you. I see all of you.
