Season 2 Similarities

ok i seemed to notice a lot of similarities between tonites episode Truth Takes Time and the season premier The Enemy Walks In...or maybe its just me?

1. Irina's ever so famous line "Truth takes time" were once again heard in this episode and if i am correct, were the last words that were said in both episodes

2. Episode one, sydney gets shot in the left shoulder by irina, Episode 18 irina gets shot in the left shoulder by sydney

3. Irina, sydney's biological mother, turns herself in to the cia in episode 1, and emily, the person that sydney always considered her "real" mother sort of turns herself in to the cia (and they both only want to talk with sydney)

4. Sydney comes face to face for the first time with someone that she has thought were dead in both episodes (emily in 18 and irina in 1)

5. The first time I have heard a reference to emily's funeral and what sydney said during the funeral.

6. Sydney and Dixon's heart to heart talk while sydney was in her mom's cell, they had one in eppy 1 when sydney was captured at sd-6 when dixon thought she was a double agent.

7. Once again sydney saves vaughn's life

8. I know that i had more but i can't think of them right now....

there are times when all the parallels in this show drive me CRAZY trying to discover them all...but this one SCREAMED out 2.1. But the whole interplay between Jack:Sloane:Irina/Laura:Emily and Syd (parental relationships either genetic or foster) is starting to be really weird and a little unsettling. But...oh...the parallel storylines!

that's what's so great about the writing...it runs in circles but is always different...they run parallels to remind us of the past...but they are always moving us forwards...it almost makes nice bookends...if you know what i mean...

yeah, but I could live without the middle- or last-scene-first thing that's been happening lately (Phase 1 and Truth Takes Time just to name a few)

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. The things they use over and over again not only remind us of past episodes, but bring us into new ones, helps us to better understand whats going on.

Interesting parallels..I didn't even really notice. Now I feel like an idiot!

All these episodes with "T" words are getting jumbled in my head.."Truth Be Told", "Time Will Tell", "Trust Me", "Truth Takes Time"...I wonder if there's something going on here.
