I've been really pushing hard here lately cos I want to be a singer SOOOO bad!!! Yesterday I sang "Oh Ven, Oh Ven Emmanuel" (Oh come, oh come Emmanuel) like my life was depending on it. I sang so hard I was shakeing and I had tears in my eyes! :eek: I'm deffenetly geting better, probbily cos I've been praying like wild fire to be a singer, lol. I guess what I was going to ask was if I sing any good from the songs I sang but downloads are not allowed :( It was called "Dear friend" I also had "On my kness" and "My father's heart"...


Do you think I should keep trying to be a singer or is it an emptey goal? But even though you can't here my song you can read the lryics...

I do not think signing is a dead end career! I have sung at this bar up town like twice! They loved me and I felt good. And I have even played My guitar and sang a couple songs I made over at my friends coffee house ( more like my sisters friends coffee house) My sister says I have a mighty voice for such a small person :smiley: LMAO :smiley:

i wouldn't be able to sing if my life depended on it... except yesterday it was me who started singing happy birthday to totally embarrass this kid who hates me cuz i like alias and is a total jerk to me and stuff... revenge never was so sweet. except it was kinda mean though.
 
Thanks, maybe I can PM everyone the download if I put it online, lol. I guess I could sing at my church, that could be a start... But I afraid to sing infront of a mirror cos I think I'll mess up, I need to work on my curage :rolleyes: lol
 
If you want to sing then you should DEFINITLY go for it!!! Nothing is a dead end if you are happy.

a56 definetly go for it, if you believe in yourself and really try hard at it, you can get somewhere with it. i am having the same worries as you, bc i love to sing and act and dance but am afraid to do anything about it, i want to go into it in college but am afriad of what other ppl will say. but im going to give the advice i need to tell myself, who cares what ppl think and just forget about them and if it makes you happy do it.
 
You should definatly go for it! If you are happy singing, then it isn't an empty goal. Just do what you want to! Maybe someday I'll get to hear you ^_^
 
Yippee! LALALALALALLAALAA!!!!!!!!!!! lol. I just did sometyhing so dumb, but it was fun, I put my songs on to a disk then put my picture on a CD cover and pop, my own CD!!!! I just got done listening to some of songs :D :lol: I'm so happy! Two of my favorite singers, (Rachael Lampa and Stacie orrico) became singers by winning compitions then some recored deal guy came up and asked if they wanted to make there own CDs! at the age of 12 and 13!! OOO!!!! lol ^_^

It's these types of songs I can relate to. It feels sort of like what I'm going through. To a certain extent. If your dream is to be a singer, than you go after your dream. You only get one life to dream, and you never know how long you'll be here. Don't let anyone stand in the way of your dreams people, go after them no matter how impossible people say they are.

That's a good explanation, all the songs I am singing mean alot to me, so I can sing them to the fullest ^_^
 
A56, you should so go for it! I really want to be an actress. Probably as much as you want to be a singer. People say that it's a stupid dream and that it'll probably never happen but I don't care. That's why in four years when I graduate, I'm gonna go to LA and make it happen. Just follow your dream and pray because God will help you find the strength in yourself to make it. And as for the song, Jaci Velasquez is one of my favorite singers and I love "On My Knees" and how it talks about the power of prayer.

You are kiding, I love Jaci velasquez!!!! :D Yeah "On my knees" was one of the frist songs I sang and sounded really good, then after singing that song a million times I sang it in spanish! LOL! Some times I think I want to be a singer more then anyone else in the world, but that's probibly not true... lol :smiley:
 
I think it's great that you all want to be performers! I love to dance! I mean it is my life! I have been doing it for 12 years now! I also am an up an coming actress! Ever summer I go to NYC for a workshop and at the end I do a performance on OFF-BROADWAY! It's so much fun! I tried singing at a time, but I don't have the oice for it! Get singing lessons and a coach! Do public events cause if you need to be heard! Good Luck! Hope to buy your cd one day!

Aliasgirl47, I've got all of Jaci's CDs execpt the christmas one's cos I always forget them :rolleyes: Oh yeah, Her new Cd is comeing out really soon!!!

I can make a list of the songs I've practesed and hope to sing at church for you if you want :smiley:
