yeah, but remember how the clock guy early in the first season kept slipping up, implying HE knew Rambaldi not his great-great grandfather? Anyone else starting to think Sloane might BE Rambaldi...in which case he'll be damn difficult to kill!

Sloane is NOT Rambaldi! uh, hello? if he was Rambaldi then he would already know all the tech and inventions! You're right that there is a connection between them... I wonder what it is?

That's true, he couldn't be Rambaldi. But I still think they are related in some odd way... Oh, and Jack said that Sloane had a connection with Rambaldi in A Dark Turn, on the plane when he and Irina were talking.

I think it would almost be more interesting if Sydney was related to Rambaldi. That would explain how she's (sort of) turning up in the prophecy, and would also explain why Sloane hasn't killed her all these times he's been given the chance. He needs her, and so lets her do what she wants.

I don't know...I still think Sloane either is Rambalid still alive from the 16th century, or is Rambaldi reincarnated...it just seems like something the authors would do. If he is Rambaldi still alive, he's had 400 years living a "normal" life to forget where he hid everything...or he could have had deputies hide them to ensure that he wouldn't be tempted to use them before everything had come together...ie Syd or Irina's arrival...betting on Irina there. Responses??
