I am thinking that Slone and even Danny had parts to play in Sydney's dissaperance.
Here are a few posabilites:
1. Slone had possesed the "Prophecy" for years and had already read it. He figures that Sydney is the woman stated in the "Prophecy" but Sydney is only a child.
But when Sydney becomes old enough to work for Slone he hiers her. Slone builds a trust with Sydney but perposfully destroys it when he kills Danny.
The only way his assumption can be confirmed is if Sydney goes to the CIA and becomes a doubel agent, thus attempting to fulfill the prophcy with her rage of Danny's death.
But Slone never killed Danny.....

2. Slone never killed Danny. Slone makes a copy of Danny with Project Helix and has the replica killed and placed in Sydney's apartment to make it looked like he was murdered. Danny is brain washed and intoduced to the world of evil espionage.
But two years after his "death" Danny wants to come back and reveal hmself to Sydney.
But when he comes back he finds Sydney is in love with another man (Vaughn) and he becomes jelous and angry that Sydney couldn't even wait two years for him.
After Francie and Sydney fight Danny siezes the oppertunity to take Sydney.
Danny wants Sydney to know what its like to be gone for two years, only to return and find out that the love of your life dosen't love you anymore. So he keeps her for the two years. When the two years is over he leaves her in a place that she could easily be found.
Explination for the scar on her stomach:
Sydney was pregante with Vaughn's child and:
1. Danny finds out, becomes angry and orders an abortion.
2. Its still Vaughn's child but Danny has her give birth, but gives her a ciserain section (c-section) and takes the baby away from her to make her suffer even more.
3. Danny had no part with anything and the scar is from somthing to do with "The Telling"
**Ok this probablly didn't make an ounce of sense but to me its logical and wont get out of my head. But anyway thanks for listing to my rant.**
