Someday...

OK, this is my first fanfic. (Or more like the prologue to my first fanfic. ^_^ )Please reply and tell me what you think of it.

Prologue
"How did my life become so complicated?" Sydney thought as she lay in her bed. She had just gotten back from meeting with Vaughn at the warehouse and giving him the real gyroscope. It was raining outside. Sydney glanced over at the clock on her bedside table. The clock read 11:23 pm. "Where the hell is Will?" she asked herself as she got out of bed and walked over to the living room. She looked out the window, seeing raindrops falling from the black, dreary sky. Will's car was nowhere in sight, and she knew he wasn't helping Francie at the restaurant because she had called Francie earlier. Sydney kept looking out the window, watching the glistening rain fall, imagining the rain as the world's tears crying out of pity for her and her miserable life. Sydney laid down on the living room couch. "Why can't I have a normal life? Why couldn't I have been just Sydney Bristow, a college girl who's just like every other person in the world instead of Agent Bristow, a double-agent who lies to the people she cares about the most and comes from a dysfunctional spy family." She checked to make sure the bug-killer in the lamp was working and that no one was listening in on her conversation. "I can't even talk my thoughts out loud without being in danger." Sydney said as she buried her face in a pillow, silent tears streaming down her face. "If I weren't a double agent then I'd be happily married to Vaug...Danny, by now." She got up from the couch and started walking back to her room so that when Will did come home, he wouldn't see her crying on the couch. She was a little stunned by the fact that she said that if she weren't a double-agent then she'd be married to "Vaughn" by now. The idea was so preposterous that she nearly laughed. "I can barely go on a date with him without getting both of us killed, much less marry him." Sydney thought as she sat down on the edge of her bed. She picked up the picture frame that Vaughn had given her off her bedside, still without a picture in it. She lightly stroked it with her fingers, thinking back to their first date together. She remembered how Vaughn kept glancing at her every twenty seconds, how they were both acting as if they were teenagers on their very first date, and of the owner of the restaurant offering them a key to a private room. She remembered running out of the restaurant, being shot at by two men supposedly from SD-6, and hearing Arriana Kane's chilling voice speak through the cell phone on the ground. But her thoughts gradually drifted to those of Vaughn as she looked at the picture frame. Thoughts of their meetings at the warehouse, of hugging Vaughn, of him being there when she needed him the most, of him telling her about his father's watch... Sydney's thoughts broke as she heard the front door being opened. She stood still for a few minutes, making sure it wasn't an intruder. She put down the picture frame and walked over to the front door. No one was there. as she turned to search somewhere else she heard footsteps behind her. She whirled around to see Will, who was already helping himself to a huge bowl of Fruit Loops. "Where have you been?" Sydney asked sternly. "Well what are you doing still up?" Will replied, his mouthed stuffed with cereal. "Well? Where were you?" she asked again, ignoring his question.
"Geez Syd. Calm down. I was doing a report for the CIA and then I got caught up in traffic. That's all. But I can't tell you what the report is about if that's what you're thinking." Will said as he finished up his cereal and put the empty bowl in the sink.
Sydney went over and hugged him. "No, I don't need to know what the report is about. And I'm sorry for being so jumpy. I've just got a lot on my mind right now."
"Oh" Will replied, having a pretty good idea about "who" Sydney's got her mind on.
There was a long silence between them. "Well it's getting late. I should go to bed now." Syd finally said as she hugged Will again and walked back to her bedroom. "Goodnight Syd." Will said as he went back to the kitchen. "G'night" Sydney yelled as she closed her bedroom door and got into her bed again. A few minutes later, the rain stopped and Francie came in soaking wet. "Oh, great! I get completely soaked from running in here, and when I'm finally inside the rain stops." Francie said to Will as he started laughing. Syd heard them talk for a while, then the talking stopped as Francie walked past her room. "Goodnight Syd. Sweet dreams." Francie said as she momentarily paused at Syd's room and then continued walking to her own room and closing the door behind her. Sydney smiled, but the smile faded as she thought about SD-6 and the CIA. "There's so much Francie doesn't know," she thought as she turned in her bed to face her window. She still saw a few raindrops dripping from the roof. But now Syd could see the shining crescent moon and a few stars twinkling far away in the night sky. She sighed, the sight calming down her ever-questioning mind. "Someday," she thought as she closed her eyes and slowly drifted into sleep, "the Alliance will be destroyed and I won't have to be a double-agent anymore. Someday, I'll somehow get my family together again and I won't have to keep secrets from Francie and everyone else.
Someday, I'll be able to tell Vaughn that I love him. Someday...

OMG!!! THIS IS THE BEST FANFIC I'VE EVER READ!!!

Are you sure this is your first? Its reeeeeeeeeeeally good!

Just one thing that would make it easier to read is if you made a new paragraph each time someone says something. Its just easier to read if it's not just one big paragraph.

And its kinda freaky I always look at the clock at 11:23! Thats also my birthday

Hey SR

You have written one great fanfic and you should keep on writing it! ^_^ You could take this anywhere you want to in your next section. I know you're prolly already coming up with some ideas.

And you are a great writer, even better than me  ^_^ Even though I am humbled by what you said to me earlier.

Hope to read some more soon, too!

Thanx for all the compliments. ^_^ And I'll edit the prologue if it makes it easier for you to read it, SiriCerasi.

(And I'm working on the next part, so it should be up sometime soon. )
