TV Star Trek Discussion

Chakotay and Janeway? It seemed more like Chakotay and 7 of 9 was more likely to happen! I agree that they should make a movie for Voyager! I wanna see how B'elanna's daughter turns out to be!

Okay I have been a trekkie since The Next Generation, my dad got me hooked and I've watched ever since. I would say that Voyager was my all time favorite series, and that B'lanna was my favorite character, I'm a total Tom/B'lanna shipper.

Dude, their married. They had a daughter. Well, I guess you could still be a shipper.

Yeah, verdanheart, you're right. T'pol's WAAAAAAY older than Archer! She's most likely over 100!

Hey everyone . . . another interesting topic on this board that I feel that I can add to somewhat. I've been a fan since 1987 when ST:TNG premiered. I have to say that overall Data is my fave character out of all the series . . . I've grown to love them all but ST:TNG is still my favourite. Although Enterprise may still have to potential to become my favourite . . . but I'll wait and see. 7 of 9, Hoshi, both Jadzia and Ezri are also some favourites and I can't forget Spock!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favourite Star Trek movie is First Contact followed by the Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home, and the others are also great. I have to say that the worst Star Trek movie was Insurrection. (y) I'll post more later.

Data is definitely my favorite too. I didn't really become fan either until ST:TNG was on. I use to watch it with my parents since they are huge Trek fans. Brent Spiner, who plays Data, is such an amazing actor. So talented.

Did you know that he played a recurring character on Night Court? Very funny.
;)

Voyager fans might be interested that Robert Picardo will be appearing in The Dead Zone this Sunday, July 6 on USA, 10 pm E/9 C. It sounds like a most amusing role. I've posted the summary spoilers in The Dead Zone topic.
;)

Rene Aberjonois - I can't spell his last name, sorry. He is better known as DS9's Odo. He appeared as one of the characters in the motion picture "MASH."

I know this because it is my favourite comedy movie of all time. The movie was so great that the show "M*A*S*H" was created two years after it was realeased. The movie was created in protest of the war in Vietnam and was released in 1970. The series premiered in 1972. The series parodied Vietnam until the Vietnam war ended around 1975.

The series lasted until February 1983. Two years after I was born.

The remaining part of the series - my favourite part - was a tribute to the Korean war - as it was set during that period. The producers and cast drew on accounts and historical data to describe what it was like during that "forgotten war."

Rosalind Chao - who is better known as Keiko O'Brien from ST:TNG / DS9 appeared in two episodes during M*A*S*H's last season, season 11. The series finale and the episode before that. Chao's character also was featured in "AfterMASH" a spinoff of the television series - one out of four spinoffs in a matter of fact. "AfterMASH" only lasted two seasons.

Just wanted to point out some trivia.

M*A*S*H is my second favourite television series of all time. ST:TNG is definately my #1!

I love star trek I have been hooked since 1990 when I would watch TNG with my mum.
I have to say that Voyager is my fave. I thought it was good to have a show where the main goal was constant throughout the show (And it was great to finally have a woman as captain) :D
I'm undecided on enterprise since I dont lke the way they portray the Vulcans as almost emotional sort of bad guys.

P.S I went to a convertion a few years back and Rene Auberjonois was one of the stars. He spends about 5 mins with the audience telling them how to pronounce his name right!!
