Storms?

I, unfortunately, have been getting snow lately, not rain. I like snow on Christmas and all, but any other time it is really inconvenient to get around. :frozen:

I'm in Los Angeles, and it's raining like crazy! I don't remember the last time it rained like this. Last year, it rained only like a few times. And today it's POURING.

Two weeks ago Wednesday here in North Carolina, we had a bad ice storm. It was very cold and the ice stared freezing everywhere. Since we have these tall, tall trees with the branches and leaves at the top, the ice started collecting on them and started bending them. We subsequently lost our power from Wednesday night til Friday afternoon. We used our fireplace to keep warm. Back to the trees, they started cracking and popping and falling down. I've never been so scared of trees before. Luckily, nothing damaged the house. Just over the weekend, we had to clean up the logs and limbs and what a workout that was.

Nothing severe is happening down here in Texas right now. But it's been awfully cloudy these past few weeks. -_- -_- I hardly remember what a sunny day looks like!

I used to live in San Diego, but now I am in the mountains. I love the mountains, but I do miss the ocean sometimes. Too bad you really can't have it both ways! We FINALLY got some snow so I'm happy! I hate drought and it looks like we may be headed into a 5th year of drought (sigh).

it feels like it's storming all over california! i'm in fremont right now, but i go to UCSD, so i just came back for winter break. i left san diego just before the storm hit socal, but when i got back to norcal, the storms were in full force! oh well, going snowboarding tomorrow!! :woot:

it's cold and sunny here in northern ontario  all the eye can see it clear skies, ice, and SNOW!! tons and tons of the fluffy white stuff!! :D

Awww. I wish I lived in California... :( -_- -_- It's so awesome there. But if all goes as planned, then I might move to San Francisco next year!
