Swimming

I know what you mean. I mean, I still swim summer and HS b/c I still enjoy the sense of swimming, just not pushing myself to the point of exhaustion. I eamn, I know people think swimming isnt hard, but god! its tiring! lol!

I NO! during practices, i would seriously feel like i'm dying and breathing just feels like that hardest thing to do. and then AFTER the practice i would just be so crabby and hungry and tired and DEAD! i'll still love the sport and probably do it next year when i'm in HS, but i won't strain myself.

I hope you guys don't mind me joining in the convo. I've never swam competatively, but i love swimming just for the fun of it, i really helps me think b/c i dont get to really ne where else. unfortunately i dont have a pool or one that i can go to :(
I still remember the house i lived in when i was ages 6-7 years old, and that was where i learned to swim, i would dive into the pool of the diving board into the 10 foot end and touch the bottom and come back up. sorry about all this babbling guys.

Awww... it looks like i missed out on an awesome convo! lol! You'll never guess what I was doing.... swimmming! Well, not exactly I was studying 4 my life guard test!lol!

I'd love to be able to be a lifeguard...I think the classes would just be the hardest part for me! And then there's the fact, the only pool I could really do it at would be the one my sister is a lifeguard at and I don't think she'd appreciate that!

So far i've enjoyed lifegaurding, but its nothing like the course made it out to be. I mean we keep watch on a ll the kids and everything, but its really laid back and fun!

I'm really into competitive swimming. I'm on 2 swim teams and have practice every morning from 5-9 AM and at night too. I'm soooooooooooo sore! :snorkel:

We don't have a school team. We don't even have a pool in our school, but we do have a local pool that has team. I was on it one time, but quit because it was hard for my parents to transport me. It was fun though, but very exhausting.

Most of the schools where I live dont have a pool, we just practice at like the aquatic and stuff. Swimming is like really exhausting, but whats funny is that it has been proven that it doesnt burn as many calories as other sports even though it makes you so tired!
