The next morning came early for sydney. She woke up to nurses and doctors standing above her. She arose and looked around.
"Whats going on?" She asked
"You are free to go." Said the nurse that was taking her IV out.
Just then they left and vaughn walked in. he was holding a long beige trenchcoat.
"Its raining out and I thought you might want this." He sat the coat next to her bed.
Sydney pulled the covers off and went into the bathroom to change. She came out wearing a pair of khaki pants and a plain white shirt. She put the trenchcoat on which added a mysterious sadness to the situation.
She looked at him and kissed him on the cheek. he put his arm around her and walked her out.
They walked to his car and he helped her in.
The drive there seemed long and cold. The pain inside them both were over whelming them.
As vaughn pulled the car into the parking lot of the trainstation
She clenched her fist for she did not want to leave him.
The rainy mist engulfed them as they steped out of the car.
Sydney got her ticket from the man at the booth and her and vaughn walked into the back and waited.
The trains were very old fashion like. The trained hadn't come yet so she and vaughn sat on the bench.
The silence between them broke when Vaughn turned to her. Tears overwhelmed his face as did sydney.
Vaughn was not one to cry but he couldn't help it.
She held him tight and did not want to let go.
Sydney looked into his eyes and clasped his hands into hers.
the rainy mist made them both wet and kind of cold.
Vaughn embraced sydney and held her close to keep her warm.
They sat there and loved eacthother with all the love they could give. As the train neared vaughn grasped sydney closer. People everywhere got onto and off the train. The noises and smoke came from every where. Sydney stood up and did Vaughn.
The rainyness had heavyed but only a bit.
They looked at eachother. Sydney dropped her bags and flung into his arms. He held her tight and they stayed that way for a little while.
The Vaughn whispered something into her ear.
"Sydney. I Love you." He whispered gently.
"Vaughn I cant do it. I love you way to much."
"I know sydney. I cant do it either. but I am feared of what will happen if you stay here. I Love you too much."
"All a board." Sounded the man as he got on the train.
Sydney took a deep breath and went to walk away. Then vaughn grabbed her shouldier and pulled her near.
"Read this when you are inside." He said as he handed her the letter.
He grabbed it and put it in the coat. She gave him a long romantic kiss and a long embraceful hug.
The big crowd of people engulfed sydney and pulled her into the train. Not physically but emotionally. She strained herself from getting on but the crowd pushed and shoved.
She cried as she board the train.
She ran to the window and watched him stand there. With a hint a crying on his face. She stood at the window then remembered the letter and pulled it out. It read:
"Sydney. I have loved you for as long as I can remember.
I Love you more then you'll ever know. I do not want to let you go,but I fear of what would happen if I did not.
You trip is long and weary ahead. But I want you to remember that my love for you will never fade.
I will Fight for us. I will be in your arms once again.
I promise that I will be here waiting and fighting. For us."
Forever more yours, Michael Vaughn.
Sydney held the letter to her heart and started to cry.
She looked at the window at Vaughn. He was standing there looking at her. With a love in his eyes no one coud explain
She put her hand to the window. He put his hand up at her.
They shared a loving moment then the train started to move.
