T.A.T.U. or also known as the Russian lesbians, I really enjoy their music! I especially love their songs in Russian! I was just wondering if any of you had any opinions on their style or just in general?
 
i love clowns,LOL! or remind ppl of that song, wonder who?!LOL but i do like all the things she said, extremely catchy it always gets stuck in my head! but i havent heard any other of their songs. i like the style but not so much for the videos that they have, ill pass on those!
 
oh man, their music is just so fun to go crazy and dance to!!

did you guys see them on jay leno? i think they started making out during their performance! but i couldn't really tell, i'm only speculating, because during that one long instrumental bit in "all the things she said," the camera cut to the guitarist and stayed on the guitarist for a REALLY long time while the audience started cheering all of a sudden. and right before they cut off the girls, you could KINDA see them reaching for each other. anyway, i just thought that was really interesting. even more interesting that they wouldn't show it. ;)

and what are their names anyway? and what does tatu stand for? oh, and why would people want to ban their music? because they're lesbians?? where are these people?! :angry:
 
T.A.T.U.'s songs are great ... and yes, in this business, being "gay" makes people think, they can ban someone for being who they really are ... and that's so not acceptable. (n)

They were kissing each other, and we were not allowed to see that part ... (n)

But you can show a naked woman on TV, but not show her kiss another woman ... It's so unfair! (n)
 
even though i dont agree with what they do, i think its stupid that ppl would ban their music just because they are lesbians. If their music is good that is all that should matter. banning them for that would be like banning usher becuase he is african american and thats just ridiculous in my opinion. but i can also see the other side, on how they display it so much, they have to realize that some ppl do find that offensive.
 
you know, that's really interesting. because lots of artists in the music industry are openly gay, but i've never heard of people making a fuss about them. take elton john and george michael as examples. at first it made me think, "hey, maybe it's because they're men and tatu is TWO lesbians TOGETHER" but then again, there's the indigo girls who are also two lesbians together (although i don't know if they're "together" together) and i don't seem to remember people making a big deal out of them.

so, the only reason i can think of people making such a big deal about tatu is because they flaunt their lesbianism (i.e., the kiss on jay leno) and that makes people uncomfortable. but that's so ridiculous because it's such a double standard. people don't mind seeing a guy and girl making out and pretty much doing it everywhere in videos (i.e., enrique iglesias and anna kournikova in the car, in the bathroom, etc). but once it's two GIRLS, it's all of a sudden "wrong."

geez...some people... :angry:
 
Just for your information, when they were on Leno, they DID start making out, but the camera guy changed the picture. I read that in the USA Today not too long ago. Their style of music is just so different, I love listening to it. All The Things She Said is a very nifty song to listen too. I guess I like them because their music is different, I get really sick of all the same songs with the same sound playing on the radio.

I think it is wrong to ban their because they are open about their feelings for each other, but I also believe what they do in their priviate life they should do IN PRIVIATE I don't want to see them in public and that not just because they are two girls I don't want to see guys and girls kissing in public...thats what you do in the privacy of your own home.

how old are they? i don't think that their music should be banned, ESPECIALLY not here...(maybe i'd understand in a more conservative culture like India or something)...but if they're as young as they look i respect the fact that jay's show didn't air their lil "happy time". i think their single isn't bad to listen to but i also think that from what i know (which, granted isn't much) they're pretty talentless. i'm not impressed. i call one-hit-wonder
 
t.A.T.u is.. my first favouriteband. They are so.. diffrent.. not like Christina Aguleira, etc. They are special... n_n Yeah, t.A.T.u rocks..
