The Baby

What do you think about the baby? Will it survive, what would you name her, how would you handle having a baby in your group, etc?

I think having lori's baby in a group during the zombie apocalypse would be the worst thing possible. It doesn't know to be quiet so it will cry and zombies will come the name i sure as heck wouldn't have named it Judith lol

 

[Valentino]

I think the baby would be a zombie magnet. So far she's been shown to be quiet I guess, but if they have to go on the run and the baby starts to cry...

And trying to bring a kid up in that kind of world would be horrible. I know Carl is just a kid, but he experienced some kind of life that wasn't death, running and zombies all the time.

How do you think it will happen?

I think that when the governor does come to the prison i fear a lot of people will die.

 

[Valentino]

That sounds like a possibility. Sees the little girl and either tries to take her because she reminds him of Penny, or he kills her by revenge because his daughter was killed?

 

[Travis]

That sounds like a good possibility i was just gonna say she and other people get killed in the crossfire.

 

[Valentino]

Yeah and I kinda see something happening where Carol or Beth are holding the baby, and sacrifice themselves trying to save her (holding it so close it can't get hit or something).

But if she grows up in a place where the only thing is to survive a world full of the walking dead, she might only learn to kill/survive. Making her the ultimate weapon. Like Alice in Resident Evil. You know their going to play that card, as people will complain if a baby dies on tv and the show will be cancelled, even if it doesnt happen in the comics. Would name her Carly.

Just had a thought with my housemate and we think the baby could be immune to the diease. Would make sense because of the scientist guy then, coming into the story and using her blood. Would be typical but it would be clever.

I'm not sure how the comics potrayed it, but I think there could be at some stage. It just seems something that they would go for, or at least have something to protect themselves against the virus, or a better weapon in her blood.

It's possible, but kind of sounds more Resident Evil-y

Well the name Carly is so much better than Judith. Either that or I would pay homage to RE and call her Alice

Oh yeah I agree about the name. I think naming her after one of the people that were lost (like his first suggestion) would have been better than naming it after his teacher xD Who does that? Haha.

Yeah his teacher had no relevance to the show what so ever.

I reckon they should have named her Lori. Considering she died for the baby to be born. Not some teacher he may have had a crush on, which would be weird...
