That I have to agree with, that's a reason I hated the kiss.crazy spinster said:

What would Sydney think? She's shown signs that she wished Jack was less up tight about Irina, but given the history, I think she was being patient. Remember the kiss in Passage 1? There was suprise on Syd's face and she looked at her father to see his reaction, which I believe was shock.
I had some thoughts about Jack and Irina after the last episode and have written a piece called "Gotcha! Opus 1". Hope to post it in the next few days.

FOURTEEN?!!! Gosh to be 14 again and know what I know. There were some really great romantic pictures made years ago. Some of what Jack and Irina are experiencing reminds me of those, but then I'm a died in the wool romantic (by the way, that term, does not seem to apply to some of the movies we see today) which can include adventure. VH if you read this, that scene in the cell when Jack puts the C-4 necklace around her neck....ahhhhh the camera catching them in a silhouette...
that was a romantic moment...

I'll just cross my fingers that one of them is starile.What to say.... the smoldering emotions between Jack and Irina are much more romantic, seductive and hot than the Syd/Vaughn thing IMHO, but that is probably because I'm older. And uhm, as someone else stated, some things get better over time!
I think the fact that Jack and Irina have so much history, love, hurt, betrayal and etc its more deep and it is awesome to see the flames of desire and love still burning there. I think that they both still have it for each other. Bad.
Syd and Vauhgn's love is new and exciting and stuff, I'll grant you that, but the backstory on Jack and Irina makes for some great deep emotion and tension.
I'm holding out that either Irina and Jack are in on something together here to bring down Sloane, or that Jack knows Irina is acting on her own to bring down Sloane and condones her actions here for Syd's sake, or that IF Irina is totally playing Jack that he knows it and is playing her right back.
I'm a hopeless Romantic at the mercy of JJ and company.

I have never been a Jack and Irina shipper, but I liked the kiss. I wish Irina was'nt evil!!! She was realy starting to grow on me.

Jack's been suffering for 20 years since Irina left him...ever since she told him they were technically still married...and he confirmed it...this has been coming...thank god it finally did! And Jack's too smart to have let Irina get quite that far out of hand...I think it's a setup for sloane, but I'm not quite sure how...but yaaay to Jack&Irina! ^_^
