the real Francie

i'm so upset that it appears that Francie is dead. and i'm trying hard to not believe it. so i've been trying to come up with reasons to believe that she is still alive.

i know that we all saw her dead, but in the realm of possibilities it could have been someone with a Francie mask on. but after tonights episode i'm running out of reasons to hold onto hope. so i'm wondering what other peoples opinions are about this, and if they have any thoughts or evidence either way (proving she's either secretly alive or really dead).

one thing that is bugging me is the time difference between when Sydney called Will and told him to get Francie and get out of town and when we saw the Francie Double having shot Francie. judging by the sunlight the time of day seemed to be noon-early afternoon, and when we saw Francie shot it appeared to be late evening. Will would have gotten Francie immediately and gotten out of town, so therefore Francie would not have been at the restaurant when the Francie Double came to kill her. and if the Francie Double had gotten to the restaurant earlier in the day, and killed Francie then, then Will would have grabbed the Francie Double and taken her out of town, so she would not have been at the restaurant at night when Sark called. i have a couple of other small peices of evidence, but so far that last bit is the best i've got.

any insight, information, evidence, thoughts, and opinions are welcome. this is driving me crazy.

(i would like to call up jj abrams and find out if we're supposed to be wondering if the real Francie is really dead, or if we were really just supposed to believe that she's dead because she is dead. but until i find out for absolute sure i can't give up. the show is far too twisty for me to take everything that happens at face value.)
 
it sure looks like she's dead, but the show has done that too us before. more than once they convinced us that Emily Sloane was dead. and one of the biggest plot points of the show so far has been the fact that everyone thought that Sydney's mom was dead, but she wasn't. so if all everyone is going on is that they saw a bullet in Francie's head, then that's not enough. remember, that things are rarely as they seem on Alias. and please, if you believe one way or the other, try and present some evidence/reasonings in support of what you believe. this was meant to be a discussion of the possibilities.

btw... did you all immediately believe that Emily was dead when they killed her (twice)? did you believe it completely, after all the evidence that Jack was KGB and had killed CIA agents? did you believe that Vaughn was dead when we saw him at the end of season 1 having supposedly drowned? if you did, then ignore this entire topic, but if you didn't then please think outside of "what seems to be" and open your minds to the possibilities.
 
easy, the woman with the bullet in her head wasn't Francie. if one person can play fake Francie why can't two.
 
exactly aliasjgfanaticmv, even if the real Francie is dead, we're still missing something there. it's not like JJ Abrams to make that kind of mistake, having Syd tell Will to get Francie and get out of town and just forgetting about it. it didn't appear that Will got out of town, with or without Francie. so as far as i can tell there are unanswered questions about that day that that Sydney took down the Alliance.
 
then wouldn't Will know that the Francie at home wasn't real, since he was with her?? unless someone kidnapped her and evil francie replaced her without Will knowing.. but i dunno
 
until last nights episode i thought that maybe Will knew that Francie had been replaced, and so did the CIA and they were watching her, trying to find out what she's up to. because last week Syd and Francie Double were talking about how Will seemed to be avoiding both of them, which i thought would be normal if he knew about the Francie Double. but after last night i don't think it's possible that he knows now. so it seems to me that he never got to Francie's restaurant to get her. but he would have understood the severity of the situation and would have immediately gone to get Francie after Sydney's warning. so the question is then, why didn't he get to Francie's restaurant? that's just one theory i have right now.

i agree... but dats weird dat Will wouldn't go n get Francie... and even if he did go wouldn't he see that she was dead?? but then he didn't tell anyone. .... Unless Will isn't Will, but that seems wierd bcuz his character was the same.. he even had the dream.... I'm going crazy.. i don't understand this!!!! :confused:
 
it might be possible that the CIA is aware of the Francie Double and they're trying to find out who she is working for and what her purpose is. they may know that she is working for sloane, i would have to rewatch a few episodes to check for evidence on whether the CIA would know she is working for Sloane. the CIA may have gotten to Will and the real Francie and replaced Francie with a CIA agent wearing a Francie mask. this is hardly hard evidence, but if you notice when we see Francie shot, her face looked slightly disfigured. i'm not sure if that would be a natural effect of being shot at close range in the head, but it does lead me to wonder if the person who was shot was simply like i said wearing a Francie mask. of course this would probably only be the case if the CIA had intel that indicated that someone would try to replace Francie with a double. this may sound farfetched to some or many, but i have watched the episodes from this season many times and as far as i can tell still seems a possibility.
 
Why would someone put a dead person in a mask? If they had put a mask on that we couldn't tell was a mask, the police wouldn't be able to tell and then WIll and Syd would have heard that Francie was dead. Or, if Freplica buried Francie she wouldn't have put a mask on her. This mask thing makes no sense. I mean hello people! We saw Francie, slumped against the wall in the kitchen, blood everywhere WITH A BULLET IN HER HEAD! Why would you think she was alive? Denile is NOT just a river in Egypt.
 
the whole thing about day and night and will getting francie out of town makes sense, but you have to remember that she was inside the plumber's shop, and it could have just been dark in there...... PLUS... Syd calls her to say she cant make it to whatever they were doing, and when she calls and is talking to francie, it is light out where syd is! ....and why would francie shoot some guy outside?plain and simple, the truth is it was still afternoon..

i think you're confused about what i'm referring to when i'm talking about the time difference. i'm talking about the episode after the superbowl when Syd took down the Alliance and we first saw the evil Francie. the time difference between when Syd called Will to get out of town, and when we saw Francie shot at the restaurant.

and nobody would have put a Francie mask on a dead person. that would be a stupid theory. someone would be wearing a mask if they were already (alive) posing as Francie. make sense now? and the body of the dead person (Francie or not) would have been disposed of by Evil Francie in a way so that nobody, not the police or anyone, would find it. because then it would start to get suspicious if Francie Calfo was discovered dead and in a morgue but somehow still running a restaurant.
