The Ron Rifkin Thread

Yeah. It seems he wanted to be Jack first, but I think he fits the part really well.

NOT that he's mean... I just am used to him looking like that I guess... I just couldn't see him being Sydney's father.

Ron's a little too mature to be Syd's dad (the online dossier has Sloane born in 1950, but Ron was born in 1939, according to the IMDB, which explains why Sloane looks so much more well-worn than Jack!). I hear Ron won his Tony for the much-heralded 1998 revival of "Cabaret," which I very much wanted to see. (Ah, we westerners trade culture for vistas . . .)

He's really good, especially as Sloane. I was just watching an episode of Sex & the City and he was on it. He was good in Boiler Room too.

Funny how in Alias Declassified he says how he likes to look at Sloane as working toward a greater good. But I guess the actors who play the best villains play them as heroes.

He looks like Bob Balaban...it's creepy how much alike they look. But Ron kicks ass as sloane. A friend of mine paid a lot to go see this play he was in...she was the only 20 year old. LOL

I almost bought the Majestic and Dragonfly because he was in them. I've seen Dragonfly, it's okay. The Majestic, I don't know.

I think his so cool as Sloane! Sloane don't you just love that name. It sounds slimy. I think he would make a cute action figure if they choose to make him one. I mean Syd needs a bad guy action figure. :redhair:
