There's not many female characters in Alias

:lol: :angry: I just noticed, I mean Alias has a great female lead but not many female characters. That's no problem for me, I mean the more cute guys the better, but if they had more young female characters they might attract the male audience...of course I wouldn't want Alias to transform into she-spies. But think of it, there's Vaughn, Jack, Sark, Sloane, Will, Weiss, Marshall, Dixon, ext, while there's only Sydney, Francie (she's evil so she probably won't be around much longer), Irena (she might not be around much longer either!!! ), Emily (O wait, she's dead), and occasional appearances by Dixon's wife and Alice (I hope she got hit by a truck or something though, doesn't matter Vaughn dumped her @$$). So whadya think??

u know what! i was thinking the same thing last night while i was watching truth takes time. there is only 1 good women now they killed emily. im with u tho...the more hot guys the better but i think they shouldn't kill irena or make her evil or they bring a new GOOD women into the picture.

I've noticed this too. It's sort of strange, I mean, I guess they just figure that it's more believable to have more men working in espionage, since it's generally still an occupation that not as many women go into. But didn't SD-6 employ any women agents other than Sydney? And if so, how come she never interacted with them? And it seems like they could show more women working at the CIA, too. Maybe they just don't want anyone to distract from Jennifer Garner. Like that could happen!

yeah, i've always noticed that too. but i'd rather have fewer female characters who have stronger character development (sydney and irina) than a slew of female cast members with very little character development. i'd rather sacrifice quantity for quality.

They did have that new female recruit at the C.I.A whatshername...we never saw her after that one episode, but they made a point of introducing her, so I'm thinking she might reappear. Whateverhernameis I don't care if she's good or not, as long as she keeps her paws of Vaughn.

well she got hit by the truck than ran over by a stampede of huge bison(what?!) then was shot fifteen times by sydney! she's gone!!!!!LOL!
and i hope irina doesnt leave bc then it would only syd and i love irina's character and i dont think there needs to be more females because like crazy said, quality over quanity! ^_^

Yes, definitely, ditto that. And double whatever the hell happened to Alice to make it even worse!! I just hope there will be more when Irina leaves, otherwise, poor Syd! Stuck in a world of men!

I think there are more male supporting actors to make up for the fact that the lead is female. It's balanced, IMO.

funny how that doesn't work the other way around though, does it? i mean, take shows that have male leads as examples. most of those shows don't really balance themselves with more female supporting characters, do they?

i'm not complaining about the way it is though; i mean, i like it the way it is - with sydney and irina being such strong characters (and francie being a rather, um, mysterious one). i'm just pointing out that it's rather strange that shows with male leads still have a large number of male supporting actors. makes you wonder...

Yeah, i think their shud b more female characters, but i predict (lol! psychic powers coming through!) that there will be more female characters brought in next season to replace Emily and any others that go, hopefully Irina won't go tho!
Maybe more of syd or vaughn's family, hmmmmmmmm! Then again, another sexy guy wudn't b 2 bad either, hehe!
