Sci-Fi Under The Dome by Stephen King (CBS)

So, are they using green screens for a lot?
Yep, a lot of green screen for the weather elements. You can't have your actors getting all wet & muddy now.

Yeah i thought that.. but they said it's like a sieve, so I can understand a small degree of air.. but not enough to cause a gale :D... and what about rain? The holes clearly cannot be big enough to allow it to rain properly. That was shown in an early episode where outside they're spraying it with a hose and the kid presses his hand against the wall from the inside (where they're not getting wet) and his hand comes away slightly damp). No way, that kind of hole placement would allow proper rainfall.
The dome is pretty big so a lot of air is coming through & water but... I think the takeaway is that the dome itself is controlling the weather inside to a degree, a bit like a terrarium. If you're caught up on the episodes, we've seen what happens when the dome gets angry.

OK, so since we now know that the dome is capable of projecting alternate reality like a giant TV screen, what about the devastation that was caused when the MOAB bomb was dropped on the dome? After the bomb dropped the scenery outside of the dome was like an apocalypse movie but then it all green grass & full foilage trees.

Either the bomb was never dropped or the idyllic scenery outside of the dome isn't real either or... somebody screwed up with the continuity of the story line.

And this season will be the end of the dome, one way or another. CBS has announced that the current third season will the final and a fourth won't be ordered with no plans of shopping the series around to other broadcasters. That isn't totally shocking when you consider that it was supposed to be a one-shot mini series in the first place.

The upcoming September 10th episode will serve as the series finale. No details have been given other than the usual teaser that not everybody will survive the final battle between the two groups that the dome residents have broken into.
