No, I most definitely have not forgotten 9-11, it will be impossible for me to ever forget it because I lost someone I knew in the attacks, or at least I haven't heard from her in over a year and a half, her name was Dana, she was 23.thampton20 said:I am sorry, but our president does not suck, he is doing one heck of a job. Look at what has happened during his term, 9-11, can you imagine where Gore would be? Still in a bunker hiding. I love the cowboy in Bush. Sept 11 killed us. We were attacked on our own soil. Does that not hit home with you? Have you forgotten 3,000 lives were lost because some group does not like our way of life? Would you feel different if you lost some one at the pentagon, WTC, or in Penn? What if it was your parents? Do you know how many childern are going to grow up with out parents now? I am all for protecting this country. I will do my part. If that means we have to make the first move and attack Iraq, lets go. Look at the living conditions there. Look at the difference in Afganastan. It does not take a guiness to see they have a better life. Go President Bush. Kick tail while you are at it. Like Bush said, "We do not need anyone's permission to protect our country." So I could care less what the rest of the world says.
And in my opinion, all who want to "PROTEST" this war, relocate to France. You do not deserve to live here.
USA, USA, USA!!!!!
I'm sure those attacks took a long time to plan but in my opinion a war on Iraq has not been justified at this point. By irritating Saddam, we are only making him more angry at us and therefore increasing the risk of another attack on American soil. Is this man worth the deaths of Americans?thampton20 said:How did it take to plan an attack on Pearl Habor?
How long did it take plan for 9-11?
How long is Iraq going to build harmful weapons?
How many times do hear that we are "the great devil"?
Some people and countries are very much against us and will attack us for now reason. Sadaam is a slow person, it just might take him longer than twelve years to plan an attack.
I am sorry you lost someone in 9-11.
An I am glad your mom is from France. Curious, why did she or her parents move here?
Saddam has never attacked the US, Osama Bin Laden did that.aliasjgfanaticmv said:But Saddam has irritated us by launching all those attacks, he should've known how riled we'd get. But really, as much as I wish the war doesn't happen, I do want it to happen. Albeit, I doubt any war is worth the death of more people, no war really has been. I want this war to happen because of all those deaths on 9/11! If I was in the army I would've run off to afghanistan or Iraq or where ever to try to find Saddam or Bin Laden and kill them myself.
I guess it all just boils down to that one question: Is this war worth the number of people who will die?
finally! something we can agree on! :lol:SpyGurl001 said:Goodness, I swear you ppl can't get enough of this war talk!! I mean come on 4 topics of war talk? Not saying I don't enjoy the political talk, but wow..it blows my mine!!!!!!
The parties are linked, and Saddam is the only one who we know still exists so he can die.kiki81ny said:Saddam has never attacked the US, Osama Bin Laden did that.
We didn't tell him to disarm, the UN did remember. The treaty of Versailles was different, the WWI winners were just slapping Germany in the face. Hitler used that to start the next war.kiki81ny said:I personally believe that we have no right to impose our government on other people. We really had no right to tell him to disarm completely...saying things like that only leads to other wars in the future (ever heard of the Treaty of Versailles?) as it is doing to our country right now.
I do feel very sorry for the Iraqis that their leader is such a horrible man but I think sometimes the US has to learn to mind it's own business. What's right for us isn't right for the rest of the world. We need to listen to Germany and France, they've been through this more times than we have and have suffered worse, they know the horrors of war.
