I am for the death panalty.   Does that make me an utter arse hole?
Ok...I'm not getting into that discussion a few pages back, but I have one question for you hombre....

Why are you for the death penalty (which is obviously murder) and against abortion?
The death Penalty is not murder. It is legal.

The criminal on death row did something horribly wrong and needs to be punished so that it never happens again.

What did the baby do? The suspect has in a sence lost his right to lead a life, the baby has pdne nothing wrong at all. Abortion is also an easy way out for some people who made a stupid choice.
First of all, abortion is legal.

And who on earth has the right to decide if someone has a "right to lose their life." Regardless of our judicial system that is not a question anyone has the ability to answer. It's just an ontological question....What is the value of life?

And what does the death penalty prove? That we think someone is guilty? Is it right to kill someone just b/c our judges think they're innocent?

i gave him a F!!!!! Ya know how he said he might have exagerrated about the WMD's thing? Exagerate is the politican's word for lie!!!
Yes and im sure bush is the only politition who had ever told a lie. Just wait for the 2004 general election and listen to what the liberals say...
I know that people in politics and law lie just about as much as they breathe. i'm a liberal democrat who know her politics. I wouldn't attack bush if I couldn't back myself up. I don't support the war, but i support the troops for there brave actions in the Middle East (or as the poltically correct would say Southeast Asia  ) Bush really exagerrated this WMD's thing. Clinton lied and hundereds of politicans basically thousands have lied, but this lie costed hundreds of US soldiers there lives.

Yay! Another Bush supporter! I love the fact that a Christian is leading our country!
a christan has ALWAYS leaded our country. and every here of seperation of state and church??????!!!
umm, actually no matter what some of these president's claim, you can't relaly say that they are Christians. Like they could just be going through the motions. And yes I have heard of seperation of church and state but this country was founded on the principles of God and was started by God fearing men, and that's the way it should be. Plus even though I have heard of seperation between church and state, that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

so if the death penalty wasnt legal what would you think?

If you think about it...and I'm totally throwing this out there...I'm not going to comment on it or argue with anyone...but, separation of church and state is taking away our rights as citizens. Taking away our freedom of speech, bc/we can't do stuff like pray in public schools. Our nation was based on God's principles and on prayer. And the country's only gotten worse as we've gotten further away from that.

Aliasgirl47, I am glad we have a Christian in office.

A true Christian, who we know is a follower of God. I mean you can say your saved, but that doesn't mean you really are. I mean Clinton could claim to be a Christian but his actions don't reflect it.

And I agree with you about church and state seperation. It shouldn't happen, the more seperate we get church and state, the more problems and controversies we have.
