I am new to this site and do not know if anyone has already suggested this but what if the device that assembled durning the season finale was used to change the past and therefore alter everyone's future.
Remember when Sloane came to see Jack at the bar and told him that if only he known what he knows now, he would have done things differently, well what if the Rambaldi device gave him the power to do just that.
Sloane believes that he has been chosen by Rambaldi,but so too has Sydney, perhaps this is why she only remembers events up until, the fight with 'Francie'.
Irina appears to have suspected what Sloane was up to, she tells Sydney "here's what you need to know", almost pleading with Sydney to go after Sloane, Does she realize the consequences of Sloane activating 'The Telling'.
If Sloane has changed events in the past that have affected the future, Sydney may be the only one who can realize it, but can she piece together her "missing years" before Sloane achieves his ultimate goal?
