47 has been the most popular rndom number throughout history. In some cases it wasn't random, like the fact that Jesus was believed to have performed 47 miricals and that people with mental and physical abnormalities, such as Multipule Sclirosis have a 47th chromosome and that it believed to be one of the major causes for the disease, however no one can prove that. But the fact that you are more likely to look at a clock when it is 47 minutes past the hour is just coincidence, what isn't is the fact that the Great Pyramid at Giza, one of the greatest unsolved mysteries, is 147 metres tall.

it probablky was a random number...but the logical thing was that if the CIA was established in 1947 than that is probably where they got it from....
