not only did it make me barf in my cheerios, but it also eased my growing worries that evil francie is a man.

I have no idea... EF being a man is just, well... wrong. They wouldn't have EF sleeping w/ Will if they were a man, would they?!?!?! I hope not...
It would make sense if it was Anna, although, that just seems too obvious, right?? I can't think of anyone else it could be, but if it was someone we didn't know, it wouldn't really be a big shocker, would it?

The way she was so awkward when Syd was changing in the same room and some other things lead me to believe that EF is a man...but I don't know who! My gut is telling me that Haladki would be an interesting twist...but verdantheart has a good point with the brain splatter thing...don't really think it's Anna though...that would just be too weird

I thought it was Anna at first, too... but mostly cuz she looks a little like francie. other than that, what reason do you have that makes you think it's her? I can't think of any! that scene with syd changing clothes wouldn't have even been put in the episode except that it was a chance for freplica to look uncomfortable because freplica is a man, I'm positive. think about it from the producer's perspective: that actress who played Anna is OUT and she's not coming back.

anna didn't ever die that I can recall. I thought the organization she worked for got destroyed, so that's why shes not on ALIAS anymore.

I seriously doubt that they would put a GUY in a GIRL'S body. I mean, use your imaginations people, it just wouldn't be appropriate. As for what clue I had that it was Anna, it was pretty much that she was so good at being an evil spy, and yeah, there's probably a flaw in that logic ointment, but it's just a hunch.

What is evil francie is Ariana Kane? The agent sent to investigate emily's disappearance for the alliance. It seems unlikely, yes, then again, so does the concept of making someone into a replacement francie.

Its always possible that sloane came to an understanding. Besides, i read in tv guide (an extremely prestigious periodical ) that she did 3 episodes, and i've only seen her in two, i'm almost sure. I mean come on... can tv guide be wrong?

It would be kind of weird, but freplica could be Ariana Kane. You're right, she HAS only been in two eps. Also, she was framed by SLOANE so it's very possible that he proposed to save her life if she would work for him... take francie's place... she could have been part of his plan from the start. it works. (better than my theory about Haladki!)

No, Ariana was in three episodes: Abduction, The Getaway and the one following that when Sloane had her killed (this is the one where Jack and Irina work together to figure out Ariana was with Briault in Ecuador or Peru.
I'd like it to be a character unknown yet. They cannot reverse the process because Syd and the other agent blew up the lab that built two helixes (doubles).
