Who uses ImageReady?

Tommy

Seeing A Ghost
Well, it looks like my Elements is never coming back :(

I need to be able to animate and ImageReady is my only option right now. So, if anyone uses it, care to give a quick tutorial?

Work on Photoshop on different layers. Merge the layers you want to be part of one frame. Then go to File>Jump To>ImageReady.
Duplicate the frame (see pic below)

For each frame, hide/show different layers.

really?I thought Image REady was a lot easier. I think maybe what you mean by diff layers on the same doc-well, if you have the diff layers in Photoshop, just click the Jump to Image Ready button at the bottom of the tool bar and the all the layers go to Image REady? sry, I'm horrible at explaining things.

Okay, let's take your signature for example. It has 2 frames, each frame being a layer of the animated document. What I can figure out is how to get the 2 frames (or layers) onto the same document so that they can be animated.

What I do is make a layer is PS then save it as a jpg. Then I copy the layer and paste it on to the next layer and so on if you want more layers. Then jump to IR and click duplicate for how many layers you want and start from left to right on the frames. Did that make any since?

I just save both frames as jpegs and then open them in image ready and drag one frame onto the other then you have two layers. Hide one layer for one animation frame and then for the next make it visible.

Wow, you guys are doing the hard stuff. I use ImageReady for ALL of my wallpapers, and it's really easy!! I don't know what you guys are trying to teach Tommy to do though....

we use image ready primarily for animating and photoshop for wp's and sigs and stuff-so we're trying to teach him to animate in image ready....
