Season 2 Why is Vaughn always the bad guy?

Why is it that JJ always seems to make Vaughn the bad guy, as in the one that always seems to cause Syd heartche? I mean, in Season two, although it was clear that he had reaaaly strong feeling for Syd, he went out with Alice again anyway, making Syd all upset. I don't know about anyone else, but the way JJ makes Vaughn the cahracter he is, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to use someone cause he can't get the woman he wants.

And finally, in the finale, after only two years of Syd's disappearance (after which we were led to believe that he - if not loved - at least cared about her a hell of alot) he found the time to grieve for her (did he even attempt to look for her? I mean if they found a body, that don't mean nothing - remember 'Francie'?) then find someone else, fall 'in love' with said someone else, get engaged and get married. All in two years. I don't know about you, but I think, highly unlikely. An once again, it results in Vaughn causing Syd the heartbreak (why can't Syd do somehting wrong for once?) and ruining the relationship.

Jeez JJ, give the guy a break.

He isn't always the bad guy...but he seems to be most often the bad guy because he's the person syd seems to be most attached to.
"I never had anyone to disappoint. That's different now. I'm sorry."
So it makes sense in that way that he would be the one to stress syd's relationship...but let's not forget the stress that Sloane being an obsessive son-of-a-b****, Irina being an abusive mother, Jack being a prick..I could go on and on. It just seems like it's vaughn all the time because of all the stressors, we like him the best and don't want him to stress syd!

For one there was protocol....So they couldn't date.... And back in Season 1 Syd slept with Noah, not caring about Vaughns feelings, even though there was attraction.....

And we don't eaxctly know what happened within these 2 missings years to push Vaughn to( ACK! Should I even say it?? ) Marriage.....

So its not that he is a bad guy..... Its just that well.... Hes a guy...

They're allowing Vaughn to be human after setting him up as Mr Perfect Boyfriend last season . . . One thing that I like about Alias is that all of the characters are human and make mistakes, even Sydney, even Vaughn, and, yes, even Irina.

ok.....i think Vaughn is not married, even though people move on, Vaughn would be in a boyfriend, girlfriend relationship not MARRIED!!!! Its to early for someone to get married in 2 years. But if Vaughn IS married then, what can I say, Sydney gonna have to kick more a** to make the show better.
