Season 2 Why suddenly a terrorist?

In the last three NEW episodes, Irina has been described as a terrorist, known terrorist....
This is quite a change from the first few episodes when she was a criminal, blackmailer, etc.
So why the change? Is it because it is politically correct given the times with war pending?
My perceived definition of terrorist is: someone who kills for a political objective, i.e. Palestinian vs Israeli or Osama ben Ladin vs the U.S.
Why do you think they (the writers) made the change? h34r:

I didn't pick up on it earlier, just more so now. The writers have never "proven that nom de plume"
Now during Firebomb Arvin's disregard for the sixty plus deaths in the attempt to kill one woman, that could be called a terrorist attack even tho not politically motivated.

Mabye they just did it subconciously.

Subconsciously? Our writers? No, we may believe that they've lost their marbles sometimes, but then they put some twists and turns on the plot and away we go again. They are in control of all our destinies including the characters. However, they are conscious when they do it.

huh. that's interesting. i never noticed that before. it is pretty funny (funny weird not funny haha) considering that irina hasn't even really done anything yet. especially compared to sloane, you're right.
