I've noticed that everyone here seems to hate Will. Why? There's nothing really wrong with him that I can see. He's nice, he's smart, he's fairly good-looking and even funny at times, and is a good friend.
I think the only reason people dislike him is that he's Vaughn's rival, and that's a really unfair reason to hate him. Yes, I do like Vaughn better, but Will is still nice. Do you all hate Will because of the Vaughn thing, or is there a better reason that I'm missing?
 
I'm pro-Will. I think a lot of people turned against him in the first season because they saw him as competition for Vaughn and they thought that he was putting Sydney in danger--but he didn't know that, he thought he was helping her.
 
Sorry -- I keep putting these topics in the wrong places, I guess I should get to know my way around here better before I make new topics.
Was Will more annoying in the first season? I've only seen the second season, so maybe in what I've seen he's better. But he didn't annoy me in the scripts, and I read them all.
 
I think people were just annoyed with Will because we were one step ahead of him, and we knew he was wasting his time with Danny's murder, since we already knew what happened. It's annoying to watch a character try to find out something you already know, because you just want him to hurry up and figure it out already.

But as for the rival thing...Vaughn's so sexy and mysterious, the way they can only meet secretly, it's natural people would prefer him romantically for Sydney. If this wasn't a spy show and there wasn't a Vaughn, I'm sure most people would be more than happy for Syd and Will to get together. I really like Will; he's the kind of friend you'd love to have at your back.
 
Ok, so I'm new, and I know the way it is on message boards, newbie's opinions aren't taken to kindly, but I do have one! I'm fairly new to Alias, considering I live in the UK, don't have Sky TV and am therefore reasonably lacking in background.
But, I totally agree with the tripleagent who was defending Will (unless I read that wrong!). I think he's a sweet character with genuine credibility. He, so far, has represented the civilian side to the super-secretive Alias world (although I know that he does become involved in Sydney's world).
I'm also completely pro-Sydney and Will...and I think I am the only one who is, at least who posts here. I think Will and Sydney have more grounds for a relationship being as they've been really good friends, and Will is also in love with her. Complications (sigh, as always) will no doubt arise in the form of Vaughn, who, yes, is sexy and mysterious as has been previously mentioned!
I do think that Vaughn and Sydney will date, because inevitably character relationships diverge and alter from season to season...
But please, give Will and his bright, blue (to die for) eyes a chance!!

Please stick around! We need some Will fans to balance out the Vaughn fans. I like Will very much, myself. His intentions are always the best.
 
I think people hated him because he was a threat to the Syd/Vaughn relationship. But he's a good guy and trying hard and cares for Syd, so I love him. I am not a Will and Syd shipper, but I like Will.
 
Oh my gosh, I LOVE WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woot: He is soooooooo cute and sweet! I didn't watch Alias from the beginning, so I don't know if I would have hated him, but when I saw the eps later on, I just thought he was a great friend trying to help another friend. :cool: And, if possible, I love him a little more than Vaughn, I think :cool:
 
I love Will he's a sweetie! I never had any problem with him, but I love Vaughn more. I will never have any problem with Will as long as he doesn't get between Syd and Vaughn. My friend (who's nuts) was going over theories of who's going to be evil in A Dark Turn, and she said Will (by the way she doesn't watch the show she just knows names from the times I talk about it) and I'm like NO WILL'S A SWEETIE HE WOULDN'T HURT A FLY!

I agree!!! I never hated Will but I just like Vaughn more!! :D

but i do feel bad for him because the cia put him through some bad things and fake francies taking advantage of him
 
I have no idea why anyone would hate Will. He just plain gorgeous (more so than Vaughn IMO)...damn his beautiful eyes...and he's got a great personality. Some people just don't have good taste I guess. How could you possibly miss out on the wonder that is Will??? If anyone else is a die-hard Will fan like me and a few other friends, join the Will's Girls club (PM me for more info). I :love: Will!!
 
P.S. I don't think it is humanly possible to hate Will or BC for that matter (at least if you're female ;) ) And if you do, I would love to know how that is possible. Enlighten me!
 
I LOVE WILL!!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM!!! THANK YOU PPL....i just dont get ppl who hate him...why?? why do they hate him??? of course i like vaughn better, vaughn is the very bestest character on the whole entire show!!!! but will is a very close second!!!! i'm not too pro-will and sydney....i am so very pro-syd and vaughn...but i think will needs a nice girlfriend that he falls in love with and for once he gets to keep her....cuz his life got so messed up and i feel so bad for him!!!!!! and he deserves to have something good happen that doesnt get screwed up like francie...they didnt even get a whole episode before she was murdered!!!! anyways, i think the point was WILL ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
