Y: The Last Man is a comic book series that is now complete and available only in six-issue compilations. At least I am not aware of any ultimate editions yet. The first compilation issue comes off as a combination of SF, magic and divine retribution. It is the story of a small group of survivors of an apocalyptic event that killed every male creature on the planet in one single moment by making them hemorrhage and bleed out. Astonishing at the start, it becomes even more astonishing when one man and one male monkey survive, presumably because of their close proximity to a magical engagement ring. Sound silly? It is. And it is jumpy, ill plotted and the characters make some stupid decisions that manage to work out a bit too conveniently. But like carrot cake, never let it be said that a decent dessert cannot be made with some bad ingredients...Please click here, or on the book cover above, to be taken to the complete review..

No, not yet. I had heard it was good, but if this is any indication of the quality of work he produces, no way will I bother spending the money.

I bought this yesterday, at least the first book, but I haven't gotten through it yet (been busy). So far so good, though.
