TV Your Favorite Star Trek Series and Why

I picked TNG because it was the only one I could get into. I'm still not sure if I've seen every episode or not. It would be great if Netflix would stream that. I loved that show, the movies and catch the reruns whenever I can still.

I love them all but I have to say TNG is my favourite. After boycotting it for the first year it was on because it wasn't the original, I decided to give it a try and fell instantly in love.

I never did watch Enterprise while it was live on tv. I just didn't see how it was possible to go back to the past. I ended up going back after it was over and renting them all. The lack of technology still bugged me but the characters and story lines were very good.

I still stand by the comment I left here almost three years ago...can't pick a favorite. I do wonder if we're ever going to get another Star Trek television series, though. Maybe they can do a Star Trek/Aston West mashup, and have a hit series on their hands.

Enterprise is on the whole, by second favourite Trek after the Original. Next Gen is third. There were aspects of Voy and DS9 I want' keen on, like Janeway and the DS9 baseball episode, war theme.

Except with fewer main characters...

Funny story...I hadn't even heard about Firefly until a friend read my published novel (Heroes Die Young) in 2008/2009 and commented how much it reminded them of the series. And what do you know? He was right!

Thank goodness the original version of the novel had been published back in 2001/2002, before the series came out.

Next Generation.
I was obsessed with it. I'd shut off the ringer on my telephone. Silence! TNG is on!
Yes, I fell in love with the original, and Spock.
But TNG was/is so creative, with a lot less testosterone. (y) Love you too Data.

Tough call, I love em' all!

My mom got me hooked on the original series. I just love it. And am biased when i say it is the best Star Trek ever! I just love Captain James T. Kirk, Scotty, Spock all of the characters. The uniforms pop just pop with those colors, the stories, the ship. Everything!

There is indeed something about the vibrant colors of TOS that isn't found in the other series. The DS9 episode where they went back to the TOS tribbles episode stands out because of the stark contrast between the look & feel of the two eras (and I still say that DS9 episode did an amazing job integrating the DS9 cast into the TOS footage).

It may be an odd thought but I wonder if some the backlash against Discovery is that they went too dark with the look & feel of it to the point where it just doesn't 'feel' like a "Star Trek" show.

Not sure if you noticed or not but HolleyWould has gone dark on nearly everything related to genre works.

I remember watching St TOS on a black & white tv with an antenna. I liked it for the monsters and the fighting, never really seeing the colors or understanding the womanizing till much later in life.
It still hooked me.
