goache can be great for some stuff, like comic strip characters. i painted the teenage mutant ninja turtles about 17 years ago, just before they came out in the UK as the kids cartoon version. to me i was just copying images out of the comic books/role playing books and enlarging and using different materials for practise, but they did look rather good hanging on the wall, the paint embossing the image.
