It doesn't make sense storyline-wise but production-wise it does. That's why I'd always make the story involve the ship being the only to escape a big explosion or it's the maiden voyage (meaning it's the first of it's kind) or something along those lines.
It's still fantasy though unless you believe in Greek gods. Besides there's nothing contemporary about fantasy. It can be about just about anything in any setting.
A bit of an over-exaggeration don't ya think? There's only True Blood and Vampire Diaries. Instead of complaining about how many there are, complain about how lame each one is.
I'm talking about the soulless creature of the night type of vampire and the straight from hell type of demon.
As far as fiction and fantasy go they're fine but where does science come in? Unless the story involves scientific proof of vampires, they shouldn't be scifi IMO.
On another forum this subject came up and one member, instead of explaining it, just copy & pasted this definition of science fiction:
This is fine and all but I still don't see how any of this answers my question. Vampires and demons are more like occult, paranormal and/or horror, right...
Lol, good one. :D
Hmmm... when it comes to Horror and SciFi I can't really pick out any favorites but if I had to choose I'd say Total Recall, Titan A.E., A.I. Artificial Intelligence, RoboCop 2 and perhaps a few others I can't think of right now.
Not a real one but a costume. I can't stress that enough. I don't want people to think I'm some weirdo who wants to make an actual battle suit. Well... maybe. But not today. Today all I want is a costumed one. Does anyone know how or know of any websites that can help?
Hi! I'm just an average scifi fan, I'm not as hardcore as some of you may be though. I don't really know what to write for these things so if you have any questions, just ask.
