Like most of you I like Science Fiction. I've been reading it by the mountain for almost 40 years and will continue to do so until I can't. I look forward to finding more neat SF thought this site and the people involved!

Oh yeah , soylent Green. I am however on the Gattica/Blade Runner synthesis side of the fence. Possibly with a bit of children of men thrown in to go with the birth rate trends in the west.

Well, it depends... If evolution is all about biological programing for survival then it would come down to whether or not the aliens have overcome their biological drive to domintate their envoronment and become something more than animals with toys... We need to get off this rock.

Each Doctor has his own flavor and the series goes through many incarnations betwen a childrens show and an adult show. My personal favorites are burried in the jon pertwe and Tom Baker years. Decades ago. The new series I could take or leave.....

Does anyone have any idea if anything is happening with the BSG Blood and Chrome. Google of course says all kinds of things but nothing conclusive....

BSG was pretty spectacular, I made the mistake of watching some galactica 1984 episodes and damaged my wonderful childhood memories. Be warned. the new BSG was so full of awesome that going back can be painful....

When the first Star wars first came out it was pretty spectacular. Then as mentioned above T2 was pretty mind blowing as well. Since then it's been very business as usual... although the matrix gets honorable mention....

read John Varleys... Ophuchi Hotline. You can make a pretty amazing sequence based on the symbiont space suits.... of course its full of ideas as well. imho

Hi, thanks for the list I'll check them out. some of the best obscure ideas come from early SF, If you have not read any john brunner or van vogt you are missing out on some great stuff. Much of the earlier stuff can be hard to read but if you are just into concepts then find some old galaxy...
