    Age of Conan

FYI: Age of Conan has been pushed back once again. Now it's projected release date is 25th of March 2008.

    Death Penalty

Perma-Death is way too harsh, IMO. There are so many things that can happen to your character, regardless of what you do, regardless of your skill as a player. What if some idjit trains a camp full of angry orcs on your lap? What if you lose connection or suffer a bad lag spike in the middle of...

Little things in MMOs that would mean a lot

Two small graphical things (well, small to me, no idea how hard they would be to implement), that would mean a lot to me: 1. Scabbards for swords and a proper way to hang other weapons from your belt (e.g. an axe is hung head up, for Pete's sake!). 2. No more headgear or hair, I want the...

    Death Penalty

Even though I voted 5, I must add that I absolutely hate corpse runs. I have no problem with XP loss (but no level loss, thank you), item decay, or some sort of temporary "resurrection sickness" even, but if I was to make an MMORPG I surely would not use corpse runs in it.

    Kids

Not having read through this thread, I just want to comment, that if HJ does involve killing kids (good, bad, or ugly kids), its rating is pretty much going to be M (and not T as with most MMOs, that want the T rating to have more potential subscribers). Not that I care, just saying.

    Combined Class Abilities

Then there's Warrior/Necromancer, which'll be Warmancer. Heh, that sounds like good name for a really bad metal band. It works the other way around too, Necromancer/Warrior -> Necrorrior. That would most definitely be a death metal band (from Norway no less). 8-X <British accent> "Eh, okay...

    Re-Rolls & ReSpecs

I'd like to add, that I want no re-specs, unless the character customization and progression is so fiendishly complex and poorly explained jumble that nobody can make heads or tails about it. I don't believe that will be the case, but if it is, then I'll go with option 1 (re-spec occasionally).

    Combined Class Abilities

Thank Elvis for that! I hate rigid class molds that make e.g. two warriors or two rangers nearly identical in their skills and abilities. "Oh look, there's a level 18 Thief. Well, he can stealth and do Quick Strike 2, but not do the Backstab 2 nor Poison Dart 3. Good thing he cannot wear...

    Mounts by Level?

Ehm... :-/ You Americans are crazy. :p ;)

    Combined Class Abilities

Aye, same here. I never could understand powergamer mentality. What possible fun can they gain from just "min-maxing" (to borrow a PnP RPG term) their characters? By min-maxing I mean that you consider your character to be a set of numbers and abilities only and character creation is a game of...

    Combined Class Abilities

I would love to have a classless system, but seeing as HJ will be using character classes, I think multiclassing is a great compromise. The static and restricted class system in most MMORPGs is depressing as it, more often than not, produces cookiecutter characters, IMO. Having two classes gives...

    Reminisce

Oi, Kalevala! Finland FTW!! :D If we're going to reminisce, I have to raise a toast to my favorite WoW character of years gone by. He was not my first WoW character, but by far the most favorite. Elarin was a Night Elf hunter on EU Moonglade server with a nightsaber (or whatever those...

    Mounts by Level?

I truly hope you can "upgrade" your pets and mounts in HJ, so that they can grow with you. I am such a sentimental fool, that I get attached to my virtual animal companions and hate to trade them for something as silly as level difference. -- "What did you say? I've owned that horse for 10 years...

    Race Update!

Okay, even though I hate the term and never usually use it, I must confess, I lolled. I did. LOL. And right on about the death penalty. It must sting, so that you will try to avoid it as much as possible, but not too much. The correct balance in this is difficult to find, but I must say, the...

    Race Update!

I don't mind paying for training, if it fits in the game world, unless the costs are outrageously high (so that you need to really grind to pay for that training). I would like the training to be made more interesting, though. For example, having to find special teachers for special skills...
