If you could live in any house/castle/space station from a film, where would it be?

Re: If you could live in any house/castle/space station from a film, where would it b There was a planet in the original series of Star Trek where anything you could think of just appeared for you. That would be a cool place to live...you could ahve a different house/castle/mansion every day of...

Sci-Fi Favorite Type of Sci Fi

I like what is sometimes referred to as 'hard SF' - this often involves technology rooted in reality but which allows us to travel to the stars and beyond. Think Iain M Banks or Alistair Reynolds.

I vote for the moon, simply because its nearest, therefore easier to get to and transport things there. Again you would have to build modules/domes to live in and there would be problems like water and growing food - is there water on the moon? hmmm...

Pottermore: Rowling giving back to the fans

Looks like a way to sell the books all over again to me - this time online and the cynical part of me thinks they will charge for extra snippets that Rowling will include that haven't been in the books before. This way they will make loads more cash sellling something twice. Ripping off the...

Sci-Fi Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)

I dont think they feel pain but would probably be programmed to avoid destruction in order to fulfill their function (e.g. repairing space ships from the outside!). The red hot rods may cause the droid to fail and be destroyed therefore it fears it... Just an idea..
