    Worst Sci Fi Movies

It is Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's "The Mist" IIRC. I think it is aktually a pretty good movie IMHO. Sure, it appears rather cheesy at times, but nonetheless...

Spielberg v. George Lucas: Who's the Better Director (all works included)

As already said here, as a director with the ability to take his audience in, Spielberg owns lucas in the long run. Maybe Lucas had the greater creative potential. But Indy 4 was just a waste. They're getting old I guess.

    What have you seen recently?

"The Boondock Saints 2". It was a good Sequel IMHO. Same sick humor and good stylish action as in part 1, but just more of it. Compare "A better Tomorrow" to its sequel. There are also options for another part. It could also have been 10-15 minutes shorter though. 1.52 hours running time...

Sci-Fi Favorite Type of Sci Fi

Space Operas got me into Sci-Fi. But I prefer Cyberpunk by now, themewise. Matrix, Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell etc.

Any Body Like playing Sci Fi Games?

I used to play BattleTech, but liked the Renegade Legion game system(s) more, also from FASA. It was similar to BattleTech, but with space fighters, grav tanks and capital ship action. It was more thought out, especially the damage system. Cool universe design, but it flopped alas

Sci-Fi Star Trek vs. Star Wars

As said before, Star Trek is more character driven and has a better setting for stories with a higher pretence. Star Wars is more Science Fantasy. It has the cooler hardware, at least for me. So I voted for Star Wars, the inner child prevails!

    Worst Sci Fi Movies

I think there incredibly bad SF-movie in the B an C category, also from Italy, Japan or Turkey. Some examples: "Turkish Star Wars" aka "The Man Who Saves the World" and its sequel "Turks in space" aka "Son of the Man Who Saves the World" (yikes!), "Süpermen dönüyor", "Star Crash" with David...

    Sci-Fi Blade Runner (1982)

To me, the first time viewing of Blade Runner was quite a bore. I wasn't mature enough I guess, as , at that time, I dug more action oriented movie stuff. Later on I grew to really love this film in all its beauty (maybe like Deckard grows to love Rachel ;)), but without the "Shining" ending...

    Good '80's Sci Fi Movies?

"Test Pilota Pirxa", an polish adaptation of a Stanislaw Lem novel. Freaked me out, when I saw it as kid. It aired only once on German television and is apparently very hard to get. It's about a mission of a space ship to Saturn with a mixed crew consisting of humans and androids to test their...

    Hello!

Hi guys, I'm what they call a longtime lurker, but have decided now to post for the first time. I'm a Sci-Fi buff, especially on-screen SF, and more rooted in the 80s since the time I saw "Return of the Jedi" in the theater as a kid with eyes and open wide.
