Probably due to much of the current code being based on v3arcade; This was always one of my personal bugbears! :sick:

I'm looking at bringing a similar interface to XFArcade, I've just been awfully busy of late! :coffee:

There's many areas that require a lot of work, and will eventually receive it.. :) I'm fairly certain that this area in particular, will integrate some kind of open source third-party script to handle the unpacking of compressed files.

Jaxel certainly has his own way with XF code.. It's not the first time that I've seen conflicts with his modifications, unfortunately they just happen to be incredibly useful.

I'm waiting to move server (again) before I even contemplate 1.1 :( Seem to be having a bit of a nightmare.

The fact is that if it wasn't bad enough originally not asking for permission to integrate the games, the horrible conversions that have been done, totally destroy the hard work and efforts that have originally gone into them. It's no wonder that their authors don't want to have anything to do...

As an additional resource; If there's a game that you'd like to use with XFArcade, or a past conversion you're using that looks hacky and/or has the flashing "Powered by Sothink" text that you'd like to be re-done, then within reason (there will be exceptions) you can PM me on here only. Either...
