I must live a parallel universe where we see things differently than Humans from Earth.

Yes, I first looked tis up on IMDb to see what viewers thought of it, and didn't watch it at first becuase of the low ratings. But I was getting desperate for something new so decided I'd give it a shot..........Liked it right from the beginning and after seeing all the shows I had missed looked forward to the next episode each week.

And then the bad news. They canceled it because of poor ratings - So I check back on IMDb to see what others thought and how they rated it - Most didn't like it - Personally I think they were too dumb to understand it
- Not that it is so hard to understand an invasion by aliens - It was done before with good series in the late 90s such as First Wave, Earth Final Conflict, Dark Skies {the original one season series, not the newer movie}, etc., etc.

But something seems to have happened to the viewing audience - Aliens must have taken over the planet
Earth for real, and dumbed down the viewing public to hide their presence.

Good developing story line, well paced and directed with excellent adult acting - This series was destined to become a classic - except the viewing public was too myopic to see it and story flew over their heads
- Or the alien takeover has succeeded - the public has been hypnotized so they can't see the truth!

At any rate here is my write-up on IMDb:

Might have been a classic alien invasion series, but....

But apparently the theory that we live in a matrix of parallel universes is true. In my universe this was great science fiction.

I have no idea what the people who knocked this excellent adult sci- fi series were watching - And can't even imagine what they expected. Well they got what they wanted - canceled after 13 episodes.

There have been quite a few good alien invasion series over the years, especially in the late 1990s such as "First Wave", "Dark Skies", and "Earth Final Conflict"

Apparently somewhere between then and now - real aliens have taken over the planet Earth, dumbed down the Human mind, and made inane old style Westerns in a sci-fi format seem good, and intelligent sci-fi like Hunters not understandable to the average viewer.

So accept the truth - the aliens have taken over, watch your Firefly and the Expanse and all the exciting soap opera and drama that goes with it - And skip the really intelligent sci-fi like Hunters - the aliens have won and they will keep you dumbed down. so Don't worry be happy.

And for you who here on this forum who still might want to watch it - In my not so humble opinion it is still worthwhile - Even though it does not come to a final conclusion at the end ot the 13 series episode - the storyline to that point does resolve.

Honestly, I missed this one entirely. I remember seeing the previews for it but don't recall when it aired or when.

I'll add it to my viewing list. (y) On the days I work from home I do marathon viewing sessions of shows (took several days but I just finished a marathon viewing of all of Durarara!! which was entertaining enough). Hopefully this time SyFy has made Hunters available for On-Demand viewing on FiOS instead of making playing the episodes on my laptop and then streaming to my TV using Chromecast like I had to do with Killjoys. :wtf:

I'm about two-thirds into it so far. The first few episodes really didn't grab my attention as it seemed to be yet another 'Aliens-harvesting-humans-for-addictive-drugs' outing; if I wanted that I could just watch I Come In Peace again. Fortunately the drugs angle was prelude to the bigger story arc and by the episode where the alien leader tells the backstory of how they ended up on Earth the feel of the show seems to have changed a bit to be more action oriented. There are only 13 episodes so I should have this one finished watching by the end of this weekend.

The actress who plays the daughter of the main character reminded me a lot of a younger Julia Stiles in both appearance and mannerisms.

If anybody likes small fuzzy animals the I don't recommend watching this show.
