And, no, I did not take the pic while driving. (y)

A new fuzzy joined our family this year! Einstein is a Lhasa Apso & Maltese mix, born at the end of Dec 2016. So far he is the opposite of Buster, our Bichon & Maltese mix, in that Einstein just wants to play with people while Buster would like to chew on people. Einstein has been with us since around March and life with two dogs has been interesting since.

On the name... Mrs. Kevin believes he was named after Doc Brown's dog in the Back to the Future movies while really I picked the name from the Cowboy Bebop anime series but she has no idea who or what that is so I just go along with the BTTF reason.

Einstein in his pen with one of his toys. He constantly has something in his mouth, half our time is spent saying "No, drop it, don't eat that!". :banghead:

That's Buster in the front and Einstein in the back. Buster is about 11 years old and is not amused with having a puppy in the house. :ROFLMAO:

Here's the twin (Miss Fritz)...it would have been nice to get the same angle so the similarity was more apparent, but this was one of about ten shots I attempted, since she's skittish and wouldn't keep her head still.
Sadly, Miss Fritz suffered a stroke right before Thanksgiving last year, and despite what seemed like successful efforts at recovery, had to be put to sleep back in March. Wendy is still going strong, even though the vet states that "it's a miracle she's still alive" based on the sheer quantity of liver cysts she has...

Sorry to hear; it's never easy with the passing of a furry family member. How is Wendy dealing with Miss Fritz being gone?

Is it ok to post our pets that are no longer with us?

(On November 4th I took in my fourth dog, Danny, my neighbor's dog. Paul lost his battle with cancer. I hope he felt some relief knowing Danny has a forever home)
Guess I should get all four together for a Christmas portrait. Do I have the energy or patience to accomplish this? Nope.

I know several of us have pets in the family, from dogs to birds to lizards, so post your pics!

I will start by posting a recent pic of Buster, our Bichon Frise & Maltese mix. Buster is the "Fuzzy Dog" that I will sometimes refer to. His sister, Sophie, lives with my Mom while he lives with my wife & I. He even has his own Twitter account, @FDBuster! :D

The pic below is him wearing his Hawaiin shirt that we brought back for him while on vacation. Fuzzy Elvis!

Of course. They never stop being part of our families.

Sorry to hear she is no longer with you. :( She was cute though! Looks like Regan and her got along fine. How big did Jessica get?

I'm sure Paul knew Danny was going to be well taken care of.

But it'd be fun trying! You may end up enjoying the ''outtake" pics more than the final shot. :snaphappy:

I would tell you a story of a nice out door cat my crazy neighbor took, in a bad way, but I wont.....

We have many non-traditional pets that we feed; deer, turkeys ,eagles, squirrels, etc. etc. we live on a mountain that backs up to the Talladega National forest. This is our groundhog Odie. After 5 years Odie's clan has grown to about 16 in all and our grandkids love them. They're pretty cool as pets go, we just feed them and they take care of themselves. They'll eat almost any kind of fruit or veggies especially if they are green or sweet. There are no farms near us so they're not a problem for anyone and they're great entertainment.

Click the photos to get a good look. It's nice to have your own weather prognosticator right in your own backyard!

Sadly, Wendy was able to last a little while longer (about 10 months or so) after her sister passed, but with those severe liver problems I mentioned and the fact that she was over 20 years old, it was only a matter of time. Wendy passed this week, so at least the two of them are together again...
