Justice League (2017)

Pretty standard group comic movie.
The film is well done, no complaints.
Will certainly watch it again.

This was not the Justice League Part One, this is Part Two.
Part one was Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice (as in Justice League)

I liked this one. Yeah, it isn't necessarily, in my opinion, on the same level as the Marvel movies but I thought it was a pretty good 'popcorn' action movie. With an upcoming Aquaman movie, Flash movie, and Batman movie, the result should be a expansive DC movie universe that could be built on for the next several years.

It's a shame that Ben Affleck has gotten so much negative feedback for his portrayal of Batman and that his solo Batman movie will likely, by his choice, be his last appearance as the character as I thought he did a decent job with the character. I liked how this version of Batman is shown as being active already for 20 years; no prolonged back story, no wasting time setting up the character, just boom, here's Batman doing his thing.

The one real issue I had was with how Barry Allen, the Flash, was presented. Allen in the comics always been a bit of a immature guy but highly intelligent and confident in his Flash persona. I think the directors may have been a bit distracted by the success of the recent Spiderman incarnation and tried offering their own version of a young character who is still learning the ways of the world. While Ezra Miller did a fine acting job the character just didn't feel like the traditional "Flash" as portrayed for the past few decades or even the current TV series.

I thought the music selections were a nice touch with both the theme from the 1989 Batman movie the 1978 Superman movie being used. If anybody is curious, the song "Everybody Knows" is a Leonard Cohen song covered by Sigrid.
