Bad Robot, the JJ Abrams production company that has brought us Fringe in the past and currently Revolution, is in negotiations for the rights to adapt Stephen King's 2011 novel 11/22/63 to TV.

11/22/63 is the story of Jake, an English teach who comes across a time travel method that can take him back to 9/9/58. Jake then goes on a journey to try and prevent the 11/22/63 assassination of US President John F. Kennedy.

It is unknown currently if it will be a mini-series or a full TV series.

For our UK friends... no, it won't be called 22/11/63! :P

Turns out, neither! JJ Abrams is still working on the project but instead of television broadcast it has been picked up by Hulu instead for a 9-episode season available via streaming only. The project is being described as an "event series" with Hulu having the option of ordering more episodes.

It is a firm commitment by Hulu for the 9 episodes. No premiere date has been announced yet.
