A quick check of the local wikido for today yeilds about 300 events in the 100 mile radius.

Bring the children and the whole family to shop, eat, or just sit and relax as approximately 100 arts and craft vendors gather on the Harper McCaughan Town Green, in Long Beach, MS to kick off the Christmas season. Enjoy live music performances, train rides, bounce house for children, food booths and much more. Eat a pancake and sausage breakfast with Santa 8am-11am at First United Methodist Church, and feed the "reindeer". Don't leave without taking a memorable photo with Santa. Hosted by the Long Beach Concert Choir Association.

Geekonomicon is a family friendly, science fiction, fantasy, horror, gaming, comic, anama, multi-fandom convention with a healthy geek lifestyle twist. Lots of attractions, activities, shows, and celebrity appearances. There will be a large dealers room and artists/writers autograph area for Christmas shopping.

Lighted boat parade down Bayou Bernard. The Parade begins in Gulfport Lake, down Bayou Bernard to the conclusion at the mouth of the Bayou at Big Lake. Bleacher seating available for public viewing at Gulfport Lake, and at the foot of the Cowan Lorraine Bridge.

Jackson County Small Craft Harbor's 2nd Annual Christmas Boat Parade (in Ocean Springs) will take place along Front Beach beginning at 6 p.m. from the Ocean Springs Yacht Club to the Harbor.

Mesmerizing variety show featuring world and national dancers performing to a great mix of music from ballroom, country, latin and swing with talented local entertainers and dancers. You and your guest will enjoy the show and our after party will give you an opportunity to mix and mingle with family and friends.

Enjoy holiday fun for the whole family. Live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, a children's area and Santa and Mrs. Clause will be on hand, along with carriage rides.

Do your holiday shopping with us - Oyster shell painting, cast net knitting, Christmas music program, book signing, hot cocoa and cookies.

There will be booths for kids to decorate ornaments, pine cones, and cookies. There will be a gift wrapping station so that they can wrap their handmade gifts. There will be craft vendors also. We will have food, caroling, and of course, SANTA! Admission is free with a canned food donation.

Lighted boat parade down. Parade begins near the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge and travel parallel to Front Beach in Ocean Spring until it reaches the harbor. A canned goods drive is being held in conjunction with the parade. Goods can be dropped off at the harbor office through Dec. 13.

Come and see all the loveable Pooh characters from A Christmas Tail in this live merry musical while enjoying a delightful tea party that includes tea party snacks and a craft. Characters will visit with guests at their table during intermission. Don't forget to bring your teddy bear along to join in all the holiday merriment!
