The Houston Chronicle had this article today:
She's a star now, but when playing an awkward girl thrust into an adult body in 13 Going on 30, Jennifer Garner tapped her inner teen.

At least, that's what she insists among scads of bonus features on the romantic comedy's new DVD. The best of the bunch is "I Was a Teen-age Geek," in which Garner and co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer reveal their humble pasts.

"I was a band geek," Garner says, showing photos of herself as a gawky girl. She looks remarkably like Christa B. Allen, the young actress who plays her character in 13 Going on 30's early scenes.
