Show information in first post provided by The Movie Database
Typical drama filled show but VERY interesting science fiction.
Season 1 68% enjoyment.
I really liked how they ended the Judgement Day, pretty cool effects.
The solar sail was also interesting.
The cryo-stasis was meh but still has potential.
The ETI storylineis kinda interesting and seems to be justified with decent science fiction.
I'm not super excited for seasons 2 & 3 but I will certainly watch them.

In May 2024, Netflix officially renewed 3 Body Problem for two additional seasons. The series is set to conclude as a trilogy, staying true to its source material.

What do the San-Ti look like?

AI Overview

The San-Ti, or Trisolarans, are alien beings from the fictional planet Trisolaris, which orbits three suns. Their physical appearance is largely left to the imagination in the original trilogy, but the semi-canon fan novel Redemption of Time describes them as small, insectoid creatures, about the size of a rice grain or ant. They are also known for their ability to dehydrate their bodies to survive the harsh, chaotic conditions of Trisolaris.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Size: San-Ti are described as small, no larger than a grain of rice or an ant.
  • Appearance: They are depicted as insectoid, resembling water bears or tardigrades.
  • Dehydration: They have the ability to dehydrate their bodies to survive the extreme temperatures of Trisolaris.
  • Other clues: While their true form is never explicitly shown in the original trilogy, there are hints about their appearance, including their ability to control lights on their bodies and their thoughts being visible.
